Just watched Traders on Amazon. Not a lot about it on the net but decent enough film to kill an hour and a half if anyone is bored.

It's great when you find a film you know nothing about put on and it turns out quite decent.

Sneaky Pete is excellent, and the story develops very nicely over the 10 episodes. Bryan Cranston is menacingly good.

Also watched Black Sails recently - most enjoyable series. An x-rated Pirates of the Caribbean, with some excellent acting by the main players.
I really enjoyed Black Sails, definitely recommend it.

Enjoying Sneaky Pete so far too smile

I started Sneaky Pete but had the feeling it was going to be 10 episodes of him almost but not quite being caught out on his memories with the grandparents.

Agree, Las two were dreadful, ended really poorly after a great start.

Sneaky Pete going the same way I fear.

Best by far for me has been Bosch. Both seasons were outstanding for me.

Black Sails very good too.

I must give black sails another try. I think I started watching a while ago and something else caught my attention. It's about pirates isn't it? That's got to be great.hehe

All these series are all very well, but sometimes it is nice to stumble upon one-offs. Recently I have watched "Creature Designers: The Frankenstein Complex" which is a documentary about the evolution of SFX in film, from stop-start animation, through animatronics, to CGI. It was very interesting.

I also watched "Back to the Present", which compares the predictions of the future in Back to the Future 2 with reality, and finally a Terry Jones (of Monty Python) history programme called "The Surprising History of Sex and Love" which is as the title suggests about the attitudes towards sex and love throughout history.

Try this
"When Star Wars landed in the theaters, it introduced audiences to a galaxy filled with heroes and villains, robots and space ships, and a dizzying variety of alien life. But when the lights came up, they all disappeared... Unless you had all the toys; then the adventure never had to end! Plastic Galaxy explores the world of Star Wars toys, their history, influence, and enduring legacy".

Just got a few episodes into Sneaky Pete and can't decide if I like it or if it's frustrating. If I sit and think about it then technically nothing has actually happened so I'm not sure what I did with 3 hours!

I'll stick it out though, I'm no quitter!

Hardcore Henry: stupidly ridiculous OTT action movie. Like watching a play through of a parkour/SF/horror FPS!

Haha, yeh spotted that the other evening, had been meaning to watch it. It does a 'gaming' film far far better than any named franchise. It's silly, frantic and doesn't take itself seriously at all.

Have a look at some of the 'making of' footage of things like the bit with the van chase. All filmed on a couple of Go Pros on a mask.

From what I understand it was made on a shoestring and is basically a very expanded version of a music video a band did then thought they'd take further.
