I'm probably a couple of years behind with this one, but I've been watching The Americans. Into series 2 now.

It is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Cold War, the 80's, Spies, Espionage, CIA, KGB, dead drops, code words, embassies, murder, kidnapping, spy gadgets, shoot outs, interesting characters,.

If that sounds like your thing, then give it a go.

Have they got all 4 series on there? I'm nearing the end of the 4th. It is great.

Yes, all 4 are on there. I believe the 5th season is due to be released in March.

Oh man, that's such great news. I guess it was this time ;last year I was looking forward to 4th... yet I'd binged on the 3rd and finished it the previous June or whatever. Have been more careful this time, only on ep11, so should be nice and fresh.

Watched season1 and kind of drifted away in early season 2. Now midway through season 2 of Black Sails and enjoying it. Season 1 took a while to get moving but it was worth sticking with. Game of Thrones in boats, complete with all the nudity hehe Mrs Barlow is just lovely cloud9

Season 2 - didn't see Flint's gay side coming at all!

We've been enjoying The Americans, apparently it was on ITV a while back but I never caught it.

Did you know the actor who plays 'Philip' is Welsh. I saw The Wine Show at a friends the other day and there was a beardy Welsh bloke who I recognised but couldn't place for ages, he's very different on The Americans to how he is in 'real life' (on a British TV programme at least).

"only" 6 episodes in....there are only 8 episodes, so you're almost done.

Agreed - great series, Billy Bob Thornton is mega.

Just watched these - not what I expected at only 15 mins or so each. Interesting though, and he knows his cars. I loved the woody thing he was driving, sounded good too.

A good mixture of European and american cars. The show feels European over the typical brash stuff the yanks do. It is a shame some of the cars are not bought, which i can see he wants to do.

Thanks for the tip-off - I've added it to my Amazon Watchlist.

As an aside, 10-15 mins each is YouTube show territory.

New to this thread so apologies if it's a repost:

Eye in the Sky. Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman...brilliant. Not what I thought it would be at all.

Hardcore Henry: stupidly ridiculous OTT action movie. Like watching a play through of a parkour/SF/horror FPS!
Been looking out for this since it was posted on here last year, as you said "stupidly ridiculous OTT action movie." I wasn't expecting much and loved every minute of it nuts

Also started watching Lucifer a few week ago, got to the latest episode tonight, now have to wait until May for the next 1. I think it's the series I've enjoyed the most from the last few years. No boring middle season episodes, not too serious and a good dose of humour thumbup
