Started watching Mr Robot last night - really enjoyed it - will probably devour the rest of that now Walking Dead is taking a breather...
Watched the first two of Man in the high castle and loved them. Watched the rest of the series last week and thought it was awful.
Hardly an episode went by where I could stay interested for the whole time. I'm not familiar with the book so if this was a faithful interpretation and, therefore, the whole story, it left a lot of questions unanswered and a lot of loose ends. Something that should be significant would happen but it would either be ignored or just fizzle out.
On the positive side, I can't believe no one has mentioned Gomorrah. This series about an Italian crime family in Naples avoids nearly all the usual cliches and is fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough - it is subtitled so that may put people off but don't let it.
And a +1 for Bosch - loved that.

There is little similarity between the book and the series. Just the setting and some of the characters.
The Grasshopper Lies Heavy is a book that is banned (on the Nazi side) but widely available as one example.

I've not seen the whole thing yet but it's a thin-ish book so they are obviously taking it in a different direction overall.

I've finished Ray Donovan and had Sons of Anarchy recommended. I've watched the first couple and it's not grabbed me yet. Is it worth sticking with?

I kind of agree. I watched the first couple of seasons and loved it, then it went to Ireland and I can't be bothered to watch the rest. I've been told the Irish bit is worth persevering through to watch the rest, but there is so much other stuff on Netflix and Amazon, I'm not too bothered.

Quite like The Following, but have only had the chance to watch a few episodes. Parks and Recreation is pretty good too.

I persevered through the terrible 3rd series of Sons it does get better, and strangely compulsive.
The following started brilliantly and turned into complete ste very quickly.
Finally, does Man in the High Castle improve?
I've watched two episodes and am bored stiff so far.

Lucifer. How the chef from Miranda goes from BBC sitcom to lead in a big budget Yank series I haven't got a clue.
However the first episode is up and l really enjoyed it, it's witty and well made, hopefully it can keep it up.

Just finished man in the high castle, thought I understood it, then didn't, then did, then didn't... Now I just have no idea what I watched. Female lead is fit.

She may be fit but her character is a right F'er!

I didn't really think that much of it, the reviews made it out to be amazing :-/

"That's a Hookers name?" hehe

Loosely based on a Neil Gaiman's character from Sandman.

Enjoyed the pilot, I just hope it doesn't become 'criminal of the week' like so many US crime comedy/dramas.

Bosch - I really enjoyed it. Police detective in LA thriller
Well made, well acted and very true to the character from the books, which are also excellent.
Just watching this now, on episode 4 and it's pretty good. Like a PG version of Ray Donnovan.

I enjoyed this. Stylishly done but felt a little stilted in places. Lucifer was quite camp which actually worked.
It could easily slip into villain of the week.

I thought I'd give a ballet based series a go last night, called Flesh and Bone (for the wife..). Didn't think I'd last the first episode, but I love it! fantastic choreography, very decent acting and a few interesting sub-plots. Am on Episode Six, now.

Do you get Mad Dogs in UK..?
Funny and serious at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think it was a spin off from a Uk series originally.
