Back on the subject of programmes watched, I just finished watching "11.22.63", based on the Stephen King book of the same name.

James Franco plays a guy who travels back to 1960 and sets out to prevent the assassination of JFK.

Thought it was a decent watch. Released in 2016 but not heard of it before. 7.5/10 for me.

Mr and Mr Smith, 4 guns out of 10 Cameos

Thought I was in for some spy action comedy st and ended up watching a depressing semi art-house rom com.

I think Glover (as director and producer) is buying is own hype too much here.

Oh and he’s not even dressed remotely as well as he thinks

This is just another example of shrinkflation.

Amazon would have been better off raising the price of the subscription by £2.99 per month, I reckon.
truth be told I suspect that they could have raised fees by half that (ie £1.50) and still made money with: fewer people cancelling and less bad publicity;
Don’t forget what they charge the advertiser… can’t be cheap.

Having to pay to watch ads. Nope. Mental.

The diplomat.

2 episodes. First 134 minutes long.

Bit is a is he dodgy geezer or a hero type of series. The diplomat that is.... His ex wife is very easy on the eye

Not a bad watch.

Said no to paying for adverts. Did not get interrupted once. Not sure why but hey ho
You mean the Keri Russell / Rupert Sewell series? We had that on Netflix last year in the US. She is easy on the eye..

We also get Fargo on Hulu whereas you get it on Prime? Strange.

Don’t know if it’s been said before but “This is Us” has been enjoyable thus far (first 3 episode season ).
Many times, but not for a long time.

I found as much as it was very well written, it didn't half take forever, one of few series I just couldn't be arsed to get to the end of. And I can smash most 8-10 hour ones in a day or two...

So I Googled IMDB top rated episodes of all time and noted that there were a lot of episodes of Person of Interest rated very highly...not something I ever got into when it was on terrestrial but given it's on Freevee I made a start last night. Pilot was a bit "pilot" but so far a very interesting premise.

Watched the first two and undecided yet. Will probably watch a couple more over the weekend and see if I can decide. I found the opening of the first episode interesting and sort of hooked me in. We shall see...

I’ve watched all of it - as with anything that runs for a long time there are a few filler episodes, but I enjoyed it. Monster of the week, combined with a nice overarching story.

I agree it certainly wasn't what I was expecting. He looks like a tramp, as you say too many people are drinking his KoolAid.

And also, the dude needs to work on more than just his pecs in the gym! Huge scultped pecs, then chicken arms and shoulders, really odd looking.

I knew of the Brad Pitt / Angelina Jolie film "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" but what I didn't know was there was a short-lived TV series in 1996 that pre-dated it staring Scott "Quantum Leap" Bakula

Just started watching the Apollo Chronicles. If you're interested in space travel it's worth a watch.

The last two films I watched in the cinema were Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Top Gun: Maverick. Yep I hadn't been to the cinema for 17 years.

Mrs DG enjoyed it I'm a little more 'on the fence'. In fairness it's not bad I'm just not convinced it's anything like as clever or daring as it likes to think it is (that said I was quite shocked at E8 where they shot Max the cat yikes )

Takes a lot to get me to the cinema these days.
