Cradle to Grave

Really looking forward to this, starts tonight at 9pm on BBC2 - Based on Danny Baker's autobiography, with Peter Kay playing his dad.
His autobiography is probably the only book that has had me laughing out loud, so if the show is anywhere near as good, it should be a great watch.

Really enjoyed it but whoever cast Kay as a London docker must think Lilly Savage would make a convincing Bond girl.
I enjoyed his performance as always but all the hours with his voice coach went to waste. Why not cast someone who wasn't born with the disability of a thick Bolton accent. Thick being the operative word. It took me a couple of minutes to get past that and after that just spent the rest of the show laughing.
Brilliant modern comedy. Who says there is no good comedy made any more.
Has Peter Kay been in anything before that he's not had a big part in writing?

Also enjoyed it but agree with the above about Peter Kay, on the one hand he is the right sort of "character" for the part but on the other he is no sauf londoner. The accent didn't really work. Beyond that though great story line and as I've not read the book I was pissing myself about he trousers being on the dead kid in his coffin.
