Shocking - another Grand Designs house with all hard surfaces, no storage and no curtains. Overlooked by a main road, the neighbours and the river traffic. With the road side bit looking like some sort of designer public toilet. That'll be fun to live in.
Not everyone wants to be closed off from the world. One thing those screws holding up the panels were rusting already if that's the only thing securing them I wouldn't want my kids playing in the garden in a few years without inspection and replacement.
Not sure if I would have had the cladding on the roof too. Nice build though. Couldn't take the Mayor seriously when talking ugly with her black and neglected teeth.

first house i've really liked on GD for ages! Genuinely different, but not just for the sake of it. The woodwork is lovely
But with two dogs and a baby, no garden and the probability of one of them falling into the river, having left marks on your fancy glazing, is it fit for purpose?Woodwork exceptional, checking ebay for huge obsolete band saws
I like to scratch my balls when I'm watching TV, I can't imagine what goes through the minds of these people who want to live in fishbowls, especially as there was no garden to step into why have all that glazing in your front room, it was overlooked by the neighbour, the road and the dog walkers on the river bank.... Bonkers... I take back the walter mitty comment though he seemed to keep it together well enough.
Liked this one, thought the design was excellent, although would have blocked the driveway off with further building footprint, IIRC it was like that on the 3D design at the start.
Loved the table, the kitchen (my missus has now told me we are having a toaster cupboard when our extension is done, and this reminded her she never told me, never heard of such a thing), and the hallway walls and that concrete wall with timber grain.
Not sure what the comment above about lack of storage - lots in kitchen cupboards and big fitted cupboards in bedrooms

I still don't get the fascination with concrete and the rusty steel on last nights just looked wrong. Did you notice the steel put up over the bathroom window as a kind of privacy thing instead of frosted glass, so how do they clean the outside of the window?
Presumably it opens/swivels.Google street view is from August this year, so you can see it under construction.
The house looked reasonable until they clad it with with scrap iron to turn it into a giant cheese grater. At least it will be easy for a future owner to replace.
Architects are such ponces sometimes. The way they were enthusing about the imprint from the wooden shuttering on the hideous exposed concrete. Yeah Kevin, as seen on every WW2 pill box.
The guy who made the table was a genius for persuading him to buy it with the rotten off cut still attached. Real Emperor's new clothes.
I bet the house owner shops in places like this:

Location they better hope the daughter doesn't like playing outside, river to one side main road to the other, nice!
When I first saw the site I said "it's a good job they don't have kids". Even garden ponds are toddler magnets & this place will be a constant worry. Then Kevin worked his magic and a second young daughter from a previous marriage appeared at the end. It's not a bad place to be, the pub over the road, The Snowdrop, is pretty decent. Named after the most deadly avalanche in UK history incidentally, not the flower. Getting contemporary stuff built in Lewes is no mean feat, the indigenous population (some of them tracing their local roots back to the 11th century) are extremely protective and don't like change, the planning department are utterly insane.
