Morning All,

As some of you know I've got the go ahead to have a motorsport show aired on tv.

As part of this show I'm looking to include an 'up and coming' female celebrity who has zero racing experience and knows very little about cars.

Anyone have any suggestions for who I should consider?

Bubbly is good. Their involvement is not as a presenter so just a likeable personality would be great. smile

If I wanted eye candy I'd hire a model. I've not mentioned an aesthetic. I dont care what they look like.

The lack of motorsport knowledge is key but I do want to teach them to race.

Then I would suggest a sportswoman. If she is to race, she needs to have a competitive streak.

My invoice in in the post. bowtie

Dont choose a celebrity. Choose someone with racing talent. Or her sister...

Unfortunately that would defeat a huge part of the object of the show...

We are looking to include interviews and racers giving advice though. Would love some from women in motorsport!

Mrs Vince is a good mate of hers, you can see them both at the BVG minimoto video.

Out of curiousity, why, as with all these shows, does it have to be a "celebrity". Why can't it be a normal person.

Everything is celebrity this, celebrity that, to the point of nausea. Why is it all geared this way? Half the time, said "celebrity" really stretches the definition anyway. I can't help but think many would have done better getting someone who was unknown but good instead of some one st, who's name a few people have heard of.

Completely fair question.

In my case I have both in the show.

However to answer your question the simplest response is money.

People want more and more guarantees. A known face will attract higher viewing figures than an unknown one.

Celebrities are also very good at bring sponsors in on things.

I wish it weren't the case but in all honesty it's about minimising risk.
