So it looks like they're trying to cash in on the excellent film with a Cop Drama cousin TV series.

Bradley does make an appearance, and it has the cheeky Jennifer Carpenter (although much less foul mouthed this time alas!) as well as Jake McDorman (Greek / Shameless)

I suspect its going to end up like Elementary, but hey, maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised!

Must be the new in thing.

Read that they are making a series of Taken supposedly a sequel of how he got his special skills!

Pilot has been leaked...

It's OK... Carries on from the film a few years later. Seems like it might warm up a bit but I'm not convinced yet, the film was pretty good.

Watched the 1st episode so far, thought it was pretty decent. Noticed it's 22 episodes!

Watched the first 2 and it's better than expected but not something I'd be bothered if I missed it. In fact I've set the series link as a reminder rather than a record.

I enjoyed it, found it kind of dragged you in straight away, I'll keep watching as I thought the film was excellent.

For me, that usualy means it'll be turd, as they stretch out storylines.

The vast majority of telly series from films turnout to be awful, Stargate SG-1 was one that eventually turned into it's own thing and was rather good. Can't think of any others to buck the rule...ohh, Buffy as well, even though I preferred the film. biggrin

I tried the first few episodes, was quite disappointed. Its watchable but not what I expected, the idea has a lot of premise and was executed badly IMO. Very far fetched storylines and solutions.

Me too, although I've not seen the film so have no reference for it.

Well, I've been watching it from the start, and while I am 2 episodes behind, I'm still enjoying it. A decent mixture of entertainment; it's probably the only 'series' that I watch. I'm disappointed that it appears it's going to be the one and only series/'season', I don't think there's anything on the horizon that will be a suitable replacement although I will be giving Westworld a chance.

It's a nice refreshing change from most of the recent shows in that it lacks any serious sex and violence. I like a bit of sex and violence but I'm struggling to think of another regular show that doesn't contain copious amounts of each and still be entertaining. I've actually enjoyed the little theme they put into some episodes, quite clever.

Shame there isn't going to be a 2nd season, reasonably good series, not without it's flaws (but so rare to get a perfectly written series)
