A new program following parking wardens showing the abuse they get as well as the stupidity of the public.

I don't envy their jobs but some people really shouldn't be on the roads.

Anybody else watching it?

So the mayor of ross-on-wye has on TV said he is not paying the fine for overstaying his pre paid ticket. He then said the residents of ross-on-wye will be paying as his secretary will put it through on expenses.

I suspect the mayor's comments may come back to bite him in the ass if he really has claimed a parking ticket as an expense.

On the whole it appears to be 50/50 when it comes to a 2 minute stop vs parking like a complete fool.

Typical self serving parasite. Unsurprised.

When using a car for business purposes, is it not possible to put a PCN down as an expense, under parking charges?

I suspect it will not. He is an ass though. I expect the people that voted him in are the same.

What can we say about Mrs Gilby ?

Wore out her stairlift by going out to tick off the illegal parkers too often.

"Rings the parking company up to 10 times a day"

She bugged me. A lot.

The parking in Bristol is a joke and the bit where the council muppet just said "well I been told to turn it on" and then told the same thing by the number on the machine just shows how much of a cock up the RPZ system in Bristol is.

Stroppy cow in the mini.
And Mrs Gilby 20 times she patrols the car park a day that's a full time job.

A new series (1/3) starts this evening at 8 o'clock.

The uproar caused by new parking meters in the exclusive seaside town of Sandbanks in Dorset, and the dispute between Transport of London and a car dealership in Peckham.

Followed by a new series of Car Wars at nine.

I tend to watch this to see if any PH'ers will pop up given some of the threads in SP&L & GG regarding parking / tickets hehe

Also - "I'm going to plant some grass seed and plants so that the grass & nature can grow back" says the traveller lady who doesn't appear to do much "travelling" at all.

Yes, the grass is dead because of the numerous vehicles you've dumped on the land over the years love not because of the council failing to maintain their land laugh

Three tickets and nicked for over the drink-drive limit - not bad for a days work.

How can you be a traveller when you've been in the same place for 12 years?

Next week seems to feature a few more charming individuals & wibblists too based on the preview.

Regardless of the issue that the trader was suffering, his attitude on camera wouldn't encourage me to buy a car from them. Given the nature of his protest placards, he seemed like he'd be right at home on the fronyt line of an EDL protest march tbh.
