Just watching this film now (not out of choice), and I have never seen so much blatant product placement before. It's like someone from Apple wrote the script.

It's so much, it's annoying. smile

I like how many iPads he gives away, that definitely happens in real life.

The most cringeworthy bit so far was when the iPad was thrown out of the window. When he went to pick it up, he said that they are built really well.

They even have an iPhone, iMac and a MacBook to complement the iPads.

Oh yes, they just made a comment about the camera being amazing.

What the hell? ranting

Reminds me of Spy, one I watched earlier. Lovely big swooping shots of a new 4-series, complete with actress noting how nice the car is about 3 times.

I watched Sex Tape a while ago. When I say watched, I mean I sat through about 20 mins of Apple adverts with a terrible storyline before I gave up. One of the worst films I've ever seen.

I watched about 20 minutes before I started browsing on here with the film in the background. My fiancee enjoyed it, but I thought it was awful.

I did seem to notice the Apple products though, so their marketing works.

I forgot about the Internship and Google. Another lady flick that I thought was really cringeworthy.

I watched 'San Andreas' a few weeks back (also a terrible film), and there is one scene in a lecture theatre where literally every student has a Macbook laptop. Its a sea of shining apple logos.

That film with Michael Caine in it... full of Mini's and Fiat's.

Terrible.

Probably not to dissimilar to actual lecture theaters.

That one was intentional and part of the script, separate from any product placement deals (as well as Samsung for the Innovation Centre) and actually makes sense, a big park like that would more than likely have a tie-in with a manufacturer.

If anyone watches Neighbours still that's full of Apple products. The San Andreas one was just realistic, I work at a Uni and it is a sea of glowing Apples in lecture theatres. Good student discounts and remarkably solid resale value even years down the line actually makes them a reasonably sensible purchase.

There was insane amounts of product placement in JW but it was on purpose according to the director in that it links back to the Malcolm quote from the original about 'shove a level on it and sell it' or something to that effect along with the movie being about greedy people selling out such as the 'Verizon Wireless Indominus Rex'. Bet the income from it all was nice in any case hehe

Pretty good advert for Jeep as well - apparently you can leave them in a shed for twenty years and they still start first time!
