Sadly no DAB in my car and to be honest it's marginal at best where I live anyway so becomes frustrating really quickly. It's a shame though because I would probably just put on Absolute instead, I like listening to Frank Skinner on there at the weekend. Sunday, the local radio has Paddy on which I assume is country wide and I wish they would do something similar through the week as it's great.I plan to try streaming DAB over 3G from my phone to the car to see if that works because then I can have Moyles back in the morning!

That is very true. Trying to cater for a range of ages from 30 to 80 is probably too wide a target. I'm firmly in the 50 to 80 bracket now and there is less and less for me to listen to.R2 tries to cater for too broad (and bland) an audience. Fair point, but whoever makes the decision the point is a decision is made, quickly and decisively.R2 feels like death by a thousand cuts.

Don't mind the old guy having a show but I wish they'd put it out some other time (I suspect it's recorded anyway, bit like SW's "Sunday" love songs). Personally, I actually think it is far too "pop" these days - becoming a kind of "Radio 1/2". I really miss the fact that up until a few years ago it also included a lot of early 1950s pre rock and roll music and even music from the late 19th century and Edwardian eras. I like popular music from all time periods but I find that Radio 2 is now heavilly weighted in the post 1980s era.
