Any other Planet Rock fans?
Yes and was absolutely gutted when they got taken off FM recently. I'm going to have to invest in the portable DAB radio as mentioned earlier in this thread so I can listen to it in the car. I've also noticed that Team Rock are off DAB so are only available online? Edited by Chris77 on Monday 12th October 11:13

We always have Elaine Page on whilst we eat a family roast lunch, despite all of us hating it. The Break a Leg section is just cringeworthy, and that laugh!!!
I like the Break a Leg section - not because I am impressed by the messages left on the answer phone but, being a member of a musical society, it is a useful indicator of what shows are being performed around the country by other groups. My society has used this service too but, on each occasion, we have just left a straightforward message with no embarrassing attempts to adopt foreign accents or sing any of the songs. No matter how good a singer you may be, singing unaccompanied over a telephone line is not a good idea.

Why have it on?
We say that every week! I think, as we don't have many interests in common and a small family so not much family gossip we keep it on to have something in common to discuss and moan about. Plus I do enjoy the music, it's just her voice/laugh/personality which grates.Gargamel said:

Bring back Stewpot.
Ed like many a radio DJ of his era... Stewart met his wife when she was 13 and he was 34, they married four years later. They divorced in 2006.
Back in the late 70s my Mum wrote in to the show to get a request played for my 7th birthday, Toast by The Streetband. Stewpot read out my name, wished me a happy birthday and said I wanted to hear "Thank heavens for little girls" by Maurice Chavalier.
Oh, the shame.
I think his song choice was maybe some kind of cry for help.

I can't watch "Gigi" any more without shuddering.
I feel the same about most musicals. They are all very different. Some are rubbish - many have dated - some are thought provoking - some are fun.
Just like any form of performance theatre really.
