Is the TV series Lost worth the watch?
Discussion
I've just watched Ep 1 of Narcos and it looks like a winner. I'll be chugging through the rest of the series over the next few days.
Previously I watched all 4 seasons of Veep. This is a great comedy.
Silison Valley's also good fun.
Fargo is great - just one series so far, but the new one starts soon.
Suits is quite gripping, but can be a bit samey.
Orange is the New Black? Homeland?
However, if you've never watched Arrested Development, then do so immediately, it's the best series ever. Ever.

First series is excellent, promises so much. In the end it only delivers anger, rage, disappointment, wtf, etc.
The first series is worth watching as each episode is very well crafted. But you have to stop there and pretend they didn't make any more. It's a bit like The Matrix and its sequels.
Of course, what was "Lost" on a lot of people was that it was a big joke on people who will watch something week after week in the hope of something good coming out of it.
What was really "Lost" was the weeks of those people's lives that they spent watching "Lost" instead of doing something better...
This is a joke (kind of ), in case I "Lost" you

Watch series 1-4, then forget about it. Seriously, don't go anywhere near series six, or the final episode. As others have said, it was such a cop out.
I suspect the last episode was written by those who did the last episode of Falling Skies I still think Episode 5 S4 "The Constant" is one of the best things ever on TV. Such a well crafted episode.

Agreed. It's a classic. I never watched past Season 4 so as far as I'm concerned it was all good, and I can accept the story as unfinished without any of the disappointments...

No.
Unless you can stand two series where literally nothing of interest happens (writers strike) and an ending so infuriating you'll want to find the culprits, put them down a hatch, then drop a hydrogen bomb on it. I'm still cross about it 5 years on.
Seriously.
Avoid.

I really enjoyed Lost, it lost its way (crap pun intended) during seasons 2 and 3 but then for me it was brilliant until the last few episodes which were crap. These series dramas aren't all about the conclusion, you have to enjoy the journey - and even the crap seasons were worth putting up with for the later stuff.
Lost ruined my life. I'm still pissed off about it.
Think of it like the most beautiful girl in the world, your soul-mate, stringing you along for 5 years, occasionally giving you a handjob or a bit of dry humping action, only for her to finally admit being a bloke with a massive set of cock & balls.
