I'm not going to over analyse every situation, however I thought it was a decent episode. They're really piling on the tease about Glenn though eh. Bound to be next week.

I thought it was utter garbage, I am finding myself incredibly frustrated with the show now and at the stage where I'm thinking of just turning off.

That's 6 weeks now and we are none the wiser. I cant stand that, its as bad as the who killed lucy beale in eastenders. Every week id ask the o/h, "well, who was it". This went on for months and I mocked her for watching ste like that, turns out I am.

I don't want to be 5 series in and have to relive the story of people coming to terms with how the world is a mess every week. I get it. Its st, move on. I also cannot stand these utterly fake death scenes. The two children suddenly pouncing. I mean your arse is in a twitch all day long from these things, but you decide to bend down and cuddle them.

As for the ginger guy, your in the army, trained to kill, you see a zombie hanging they're rather than grabbing a pole or a shard of metal to reach out and kill the guy with nil chance of death you cuddle him.

Didn't think it was the worst episode, but that death scene with the new girl in the greenhouse was hilarious - the way she jumped backwards out of shock, then fell forwards onto the zombies, then lay on her back being bitten laugh

A couple of things I don't understand:

When that truck and those three (or more) guys turned up in the forest to recapture the three people who has Daryl, and Daryl was hiding behind a tree, what exactly happened to allow the four of them to just run away? And then, when that bloke got his arm chopped off, why did they all just bugger off and forget about the blond guy and the two girls?

Also, when Daryl found that fuel truck, how come it was there? It was obviously put there after the forst fire, and hidden by somebody, but did I miss somethign, or was that just an extraordinarily lucky find?

Oh, and the voice on the radio at the end must be Rick. Last time we saw him, wasn't he trapped in an RV, due to making yet more bad decisions?

Rick made it back to Alexandria, so it wasn't him.

I too think it was Glenn.

That scene was also pretty funny..

'Was that a bush rustling?'
'Oh no, a walker pinned against a tree!'
'Oh no, he managed to grab me, pull me towards him, and bite me!'
'What's happened Hank?'
'I've been bit Steve, quick - cut it off!'
!CHOP!
'Ouch!!'
'Walk it off.'

I think you've completely missed what was going on with Abraham at that point in his life and in that situation on the rooftop.

Abraham was having emotional issues leading up to that encounter on the roof although I'll grant you that this wasn't made clear as we know very little about him. The Z on the rooftop was a military bod, like Abraham, hence all of the focus on the badge to drive that home to the viewer. The shouting at the zombie was him cleansing himself of his 'issues' and he came back to meet Sasha like a new man - Jacket 'n all and making a semi pass at her.

I got the emotional fight bit. I could understand him struggling to put down a man cut from the same cloth but it doesn't detract away from the situation, no one would put themselves in harms way like that.

Unless it's a mob situation, walkers aren't scary. They haven't discovered pouncing abilities of a cheater, they make noise the second they see someone. Yet in all the one on one situations they are like a coiled spring.

When Daryl had one coming from him they tried to engineer a close call with him tumbling, and trying to get the back open for his bow. Anyone would just pick the bag up, start walking, get it out and then shoot. It's the Walking Dead after all.

Or just pick up a stick and bray it

There were some nice ones on the floor while he was dicking around and as you said just walk off no need for the drama.

True, I've been saying that about F1 for years.

I think my frustration comes with watching all 5 series in basically a few weeks. I'm slowly realising just how fking slow paced it is. I could polish off a season in a day or so. You never used to mind these side stories as 45 minutes later you were back to plot. Worst case you'd wait a night to find out what happens. Now its almost 2 months. Incredibly frustrating. I have to admit, I hate stories going backwards and forwards all the time, its like watching looper at times.

I'm adjusting to this as well, this is the first season I've had to wait a week in between episodes. Still, it hasn't made me angry!

The plot doesn't always have to move along. Don't think of it as getting to the destination, it's more about the journey. Sit back and enjoy the view.

Disclaimer: yes the series where they hung around on the farm was garbage.

I got the feeling from the second episode that this season was going to be played out over the course of one or two days, not a longer period. I'm sure those guys that were after Daryl's new pals will feature again, soon.

Well he is tired, dehydrated and a bit frazzled from being shot at/chased. Avoiding walkers is easy when you're tiptop. A good long term plan would be to move somewhere not so fking humid. biggrin
I see it as a quiz show sutuaion, easy to call on the settee, different under the lights. biggrin

The truck was, 'Patty' that the three treacherous tts were looking for.
The two bite scenes were fairly ridiculous. biggrin

Ahh, I see. Thanks.

My missus has just told me that they covered this in The Talking Dead which, apparently, I talk over every week...

I don't get annoyed when characters make stupid mistakes. If everyone acted rationally, it would be like watching a youtube video of someone completing a walking dead video game. The show is not particularly plot driven. I think what the writers are mostly interested in is what the walking dead world does to people. What a sheriff becomes. What a beaten wife and perpetual victim becomes. What a child becomes. All of the key characters have been changed by the experience and a lot of time is spent documenting that. I think the plot (such as it is) is there to drive the characters, not vice-versa.

Exactly what I thought. I thought I missed something but obviously not.
