I'm pretty sure the announcer said it was continuing in February. fking February!
It's a long time to wait to see if anything happens, only to be bitterly disappointed. You can alleviate the boredom by watching this season from the start again, and wait a long time to see if anything happens. Again.
What a bore. Nothing is ruthless about the show any more. Carl should've killed Ron. Morgan is a dick. No one actually dies or was in real danger the entire mid-season ending episode. Wtf.
Neagan being mentioned at the end, I don't even hold much hope for his character. Surely we'll meet him in the next half of the series, but it'll probably take until Season 7.

How the hell did they make that last one episode? Incredible how they are dragging this out. It took Glenn and hour to climb a tree FFS.
I remember writing back at the start of this thread I got the feeling this whole season would only be a day or two long in Walking Dead time.eltawater said:
You need to watch past the credits and the amc logo for a scene with Darryl etc.
And it looks like the "help" call on the radio a few weeks back was Eugene.
Thanks for the heads up, just found it on youtube for those who haven't seen it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gpIgS12T2gAnd it looks like the "help" call on the radio a few weeks back was Eugene.
That's the most exciting thing to happen all season
I clicked a spoiler link that someone posted earlier in the thread regarding this new chap they briefly mentioned, this led me to a link, that led to an article and then before I knew it I'd pretty much ruined the next half of the season for myself.
Well I say ruined, it's actually renewed my interest in something I was otherwise bored with, sounds like we're in for some drama if it follows that path.
So in summary the spoiler was actually more of a saviour for me.

I take your point. Apart from the shockingly bad pacing, one of the main problems of this season has been that it has tried way too hard to be clever.
It's been like telling a bad joke and repeatedly saying, did you see what I did there? Did you? Did you get what I've just done? Likewise for those who don't know the story, the arrival of Neagan is no biggy as you say. For those that do, the tension of that finale isn't actually Neagan himself, but rather how that scene as shown differs from the comic and what that *could* mean...
I suspect that the previous few episodes have been teeing up the comic boys for what is about to come and how it is going to differ from the original story line. Mainly because the TV show will bottle it, so they've had to play out a different story line as sop to the comic boys. Hmmm; ginger bloke in full dress uniform following an episode where he declares his love for somebody?! Really? Are they going to be that crass?.

I didn't know who Negan was, apart from a brief spoiler someone gave here about him and I haven't read the comics. But I thought that end scene was really tense, the way the guy spoke, the way Daryll and the guys knew they were outgunned, the way these new guys looked so organised. Hopefully they get back to the basics of what made this show so good, the whole season could have been 2 episodes up until this point! The Carol/Morgan stand off was pretty obvious as to what was going to happen TBH.
Shame the Wolves guy didn't back out of the house and get his face ripped off. God knows why the woman thought it would be a good idea to treat his wound, dumbass.
Once again, too much nicey nicey gets people killed.

so, things I liked, the walkers.
things I didn't like, the death of "chief draughtsman" just how will they follow those complex plans.
that morgan, someone shoot him, he's a liability.
the two people giving their guns away to the wolf member, shoot him.
I echo the last scene comments, I had no idea who these guys are, they meant nothing to me, but I'll tell you, motorbikes are fking idiotic in a zombie land, especially hogs.

One of the fun things that makes the slower episodes tolerable is that if you know the storyline, you spot the Easter Eggs in episodes that the 'TV audience' wouldn't necessarily see. So in summary the spoiler was actually more of a saviour for me.
So looking back at previous episodes and commenting/speculating on the show from what we know now, rather than referring to the comic book storyline of the future and providing any spoilers, I'll start off by saying that I think we've already seen Neagan in a previous episode. I think we saw him in an early episode from last season when the nice boys that ran Terminus were about to be killed and were talking about how their system of governing Terminus was better than the alternative/what went before. Whilst they were explaining it, they had a flashback scene showing the carnage that they 'had defeated'. I reckon Neagan was in that flashback.
