SAS Who Dares Wins. Ch4
Discussion
I would have crumbled in minutes during the interrogation.
Interesting that on the Ultimate Hell Week version they were told to stick to Name, Rank, Date of Birth and everything else was 'I cannot answer that question' and on this one they were free to talk just not to give away anything useful or a yes or no. I guess that is a recent development (the other SAS guy was from an older generation).
Shame after all that they don't get even a badge.
In the real version they would be dumped in the jungle for a few more months of torture.
Good TV.

If you read Bravo Two Zero, it's quite apparent that his task, once under interrogation, is to tell a 'story' and string it out over a couple of days. If you stick to Name, Rank, Number they just fill you in until you start talking.Interesting that on the Ultimate Hell Week version they were told to stick to Name, Rank, Date of Birth and everything else was 'I cannot answer that question' and on this one they were free to talk just not to give away anything useful or a yes or no. Really enjoyed the whole series, impressed by just how humble overall the ex Sf guys where.
All grey men.I think this show succeeded because it wasn't a game show. It didn't focus on creating 'OMG, it's all going to going wrong for X' scenes; it just maintained as open a presentation as you can squashing seven(?) days into five hours.
That there was no winner at the end was perfect. Complete anti-game show. You either passed or you failed.

DO we really think though that this is a reflection of the real SF training? I enjoyed watching but couldn't help thinking it was the X-factor version of the real thing...
A shadow of the real thing, I'm sure. But having one episode where everyone drops out and then the rest of the series with just the staff kicking round an empty industrial estate probably wouldn't be great TV. I thought it was an excellent series.

Yes, but that said, i put money on Statham appearing on some other realityTV/micro-celeb type program before too long, after all, he has one eye on his film career.(it must be the eye he keeps closed when he turns the light on in a dark room, "like a ninja does". God, i cringed so hard when he said that i nearly went into a coma)
