Why? He was st in the leadership round and his fitness was way off where it should have been, and apparently he's a PT Didn't like the stunt man initially, but I'm warming to him. Certainly got a 'bit about him'.
He is a PT as he worked at the gym my mrs uses. He's just not very 'hey Im a PT' which isnt a bad thing. Really nice guy just not cut out for that kind of thing.

In really enjoying this show too and I can only repeat what others are saying about the young lad and who you call Mr statham (I nicknamed him Hollywood)
This kind of thing really interests me, I would love to give it a go. if I had heard of it when channel 4 were asking for applicants, I would definitely have put my name down.
Simple. Put your application into 21 or 23 SAS (R) and do Reserve Selection. This kind of thing really interests me, I would love to give it a go. if I had heard of it when channel 4 were asking for applicants, I would definitely have put my name down.

Another great episode indeed. Really starting to take a shine to some of the characters. The DS are all super impressive blokes, would love an opportunity to have a pint with a few of them...
I wouldn't. I'd feel utterly inadequate in their company. 1. What colour IS the boathouse at Hereford?
2. Do you know Andy McNab?
3. Were you at the Iranian Embassy?
4. How hard do you reckon Ross Kemp/Sean Bean/Lewis Collins really are?
5. Do you know Chris Ryan?
6. Could you take down Jack Reacher?
I'd have been out within the first 10 minutes, complaining of having a stitch!
Certainly never saw the mole coming. It'll be interesting to see how they put the insider knowledge to good use next week.
Fair play to the guy who took a grasp of himself and did the backward fall into the lake. I had a similar experience (as a Sea Scout) whilst abseiling in Derbyshire, where I had to grasp the rope and lay back from the cliff top. I was absolutely sh****ng myself. I knew the rope could hold me and there was no rational reason why I would fall, but I was gripped with fear, to the point of trembling and wanting to vomit. I managed to do it though (well kind of) before making my way down. It was the going over the edge I found to be the tough bit though.
If I had my time over, I would certainly join the services.

I've jumped off that wall in the same quarry. Was high enough let alone having to fall backwards off it!
If anyone fancies trying this sort of stuff out without doing sf selection you can do through this website:

Really enjoying this series, Never saw the mole thing coming either, Fair play the gay ballet dancer he certainly has a bit of something about him.
The MMA instructor that turned down the phone call is my shout for making it .
The staff, the mole & all the fella's that started this course all deserve the upmost respect , tough, boys indeed.

I like the formula - reality gameshow format but with genuine special forces types who can draw on real combat experiences.
Not sure I'd want to cross any of them - they have that calm approach backed up no nonsense physique which probably ends much trouble before it even starts.
The staff relating his horrible childhood was interesting - reminded me of those public schoolboys who found prison less intimidating because it was an atmosphere they recognised.
I'd probably watch just the staff relating their histories, but some of the tests are bringing out the best in the contestants. Some of them have hardly featured yet...which seems odd given it's a TV production (unless there are more moles...?).

The most impressive part of the season so far for me had to be Foxy leading the Pen y Fan run, they all came in fked and he stood there like he'd just nipped to the shops to get a pint of milk!
A second vote here for the MMA instructor, he hasn't featured much but i think he has to be one of the top contenders, along with the mole . Statham also seems to have clamed his st down and isn't getting so much grief from the DS now.
