SAS Who Dares Wins. Ch4
Discussion
Great series i recall years ago channel 4 did the exact same kind of show? Anyone remember it?
Surpised they even allowed the backwards jump in our h&s world makes for great tv.
The ds are a scary bunch im sure ive seen one of them in some rare combat footage of the sas but no way to be sure as the faces were blurred.

SAS Are You Tough Enough, presented by Dermot O'Leary and featuring Eddie Stone. Was a pretty similar series I recall. Surpised they even allowed the backwards jump in our h&s world makes for great tv.

I suspected there may be a military mole all along and so it turns out, "number 15". Foxy's fan dance run was hugely impressive I agree.

Good programme this, all the better for not having Mr Wooden Flintoff presenting. As has been said, all normal blokes, not marathon runners like on Ultimate Hell Week. The directing staff are impressive and that Foxy, how fit is he!! seriously impressive run up and down Pen Y Fan.

The most impressive part of the season so far for me had to be Foxy leading the Pen y Fan run, they all came in fked and he stood there like he'd just nipped to the shops to get a pint of milk!
It was astounding. Most of the applicants will be pretty fit in their own right, so to see someone on the next level entirely is hugely impressive.

Besides, what would you talk about?
1. What colour IS the boathouse at Hereford?
2. Do you know Andy McNab?
3. Were you at the Iranian Embassy?
4. How hard do you reckon Ross Kemp/Sean Bean/Lewis Collins really are?
5. Do you know Chris Ryan?
6. Could you take down Jack Reacher?
I bet they'd all have some 'gen dits to spin' Especially Foxy - 10 years in the SBS...1. What colour IS the boathouse at Hereford?

Agree with above poster also - the fan dance was only a warm up to him, nails!

Taking absolutely nothing away from the bloke but I'm sure it was said he was to run so as none of the recruits would be able to keep up with him, and that he was blowing out of his arse when he finished.
Well he achieved that objective! for what he had just done he didn't look like he was too bad, couple of deep breaths then having a chat.Ant is the beard, Foxy is the other English guy. I think he comes across really well too, the piece where he was discussing his discharge and PTSD was good. Bit of a Foxy fanboi here .
The instructors' interviews on the Channel 4 website are a worthwhile read with a cuppa:

What was the standard of recruits like?
Compared to what I was expecting, it wasn't that high, civvy fit isn't military fit.
