Top gear? Hope I like it.

Well I'm quite enjoying it. It will never be as good as it was the first time around but we are all a lot older than we were then. I used to watch it before going out to the clubs, now I watch it in bed before I go to sleep!

Same here biglaugh

Our 15yr old daughter is quite enjoying it too which surprised both of us. It does seem there are a lot of Chris Evans haters out there, I do enjoy him on R2 but less so on TV.

Evans still hasn't twigged why it was popular first time round. It was basically a Brit pop love in when celebs and bands were mega cool, and the bbc could make/break a group/ artist. Defiantly a great time to be famous, a 'sweet spot' before it all went Pete tong. Only 4 channels, no net, so no you tube, Netflix, bla bla, and no competition on TV, no big brother or X factor etc. Oh not even any texting or mobiles. Seems like only yesterday....

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to enjoy EODM. Cheryl looks painfully thin now, doesn't she?

And don't forget that the camera "adds" weight. Just imagine what she's like in real life

I was speaking in general terms. Mobile phone ownership didn't really get going till 1999 and the introduction of payg.

I've enjoyed it, apart from some of the guests like Boneo and that tt from Canada.

This has to be one of the worst programmes on TV at the moment. I accidentally saw 10 minutes of it, half of it was rolling maltesers down a tape measure and the rest was putting a floating golf ball, it was bizarre and not entertaining at all. I'm guessing this is what happens when someone has too much power and money and they can pretty much make what they want. God help Top Gear.

That's fair enough, it'd be a sad world if we all liked the same things.

First time I'd heard of them was on TFI then to see what happened to them and their fans just a few days later frown

They joined up with Duran Duran because they actually do that song themselves apparently.

It's not good, is it? Hadn't realized the new series was even until tonight, they've done minimal publicity for it. Possibly realise what a crock it is.

Really? It's been on the telly, on Evans radio show and I even saw an ad in the Sun the other week.
