Brilliant. Totally back on form.

"You like blow jobs, don't you Mark?"
"I'm eating a fruit corner, Jeremy..."

I agree with you all. Last night was one of the best Peep Show episodes ever. Proper belly laughing.

I agree this weeks episode was probably the best episode ever of the peep show, I haven't laughed that much in years

I seem to have passed this series by. Just watched Series 1 / Episode 1 and am not sure what to think. Funny in places.

Does it get better?

Definitely... Watched a few episodes out of sequence before starting from the beginning and the first episode was underwhelming - like a lot of the best comedy, I think the team grew into the characters along with the audience!

Are you going to go into your local church tomorrow morning and ask "I've read the first couple of pages but does this bible thing get any better?"?

All of the episodes in this series have been absolute bangers so far but that is a hallmark of Peep Show, they've never done a bad episode as far as I'm concerned. This week's episode had me in stitches when Jeremy was urging Mark on during the panic cooking, as he mashed baked beans into pasta and cracked an egg on it, "I'll tell them this is how I like it" - a proper laugh riot.

I feel sorry for anyone coming late to the game on this, part of what makes Peep Show so funny and endearing is the way that we've been with these characters since 2003, if you watched a random episode you'd probably wonder wtf was going on.

the superhans bit was funny, when he said his name was Steve.

'Steve superhans.. Bestman and don't even know his name...'

Definitely watch the first few and even if you don't like them, try series 2 and go back to 1 later.

Am I the only one who hates the current series? It peaked at series 2-3 for me but it stayed very good, with only occasional stupid bits (dog eating). But this series is horrible though. Just seems like they're desperate to be funny. It's just painful.

As somebody who's been there from the very start in 2003, I am absolutely loving this latest series. The situational writing for this series has been pure gold. It had tailed off over the past few series, and I don't think it's any co-incidence that the long gap between 8 and 9 has given the writer(s) time to think and bring back some of the magic.

Series 1 (2003)
Series 2 (2004)
Series 3 (2005)
Series 4 (2007)
Series 5 (2008)
Series 6 (2009)
Series 7 (2010)
Series 8 (2012)
Series 9 (2015)

The best episodes have always had multiple sub-plots, and this series is no exception. Several sub-plots in each & every episode creating [for me] many unexpected laughs. Utter genius.

Yeah, they've become caricatures rather then regular guys dealing with almost regular situations.

Don't get me wrong, still one of the funniest shows on TV but I feel like I'm laughing at them rather then with them which takes a bit of what made it special away.

Thoughts?

I felt it was weaker than the previous one but still had some funny bits.
