Coke sniffing scene aside, I agree this weeks episode was not up to the same standard as the others.

I think that would be difficult. Last night was good, and I had a few titters, but the last two have been guffaws and my abs ached. biggrin

Indeed. They seemed to be building up the 'bank robbery' but it just fizzled out.

I seem to have passed this series by. Just watched Series 1 / Episode 1 and am not sure what to think. Funny in places.

Does it get better?
The very first episode is a bit mediocre, but the rest of the first series is brilliant IMO.

So far I haven't been overly impressed with the latest series. It's OK, but I prefer the earlier stuff. You can imagine two guys in their twenties being like that, but not so much now they're in their mid to late thirties.

Just about the only thing that raised a chuckle last night.

I think they've lost their way these last two weeks, but then again topping episode 2 was always going to be hard/impossible.
Oh, i dont know - i was laughing throughout last nights. It didnt go into a preposterous climax like the meal, but it was classic peep show with the dialogue between mark & Jeremy. In particular, i loved jeremy proclaiming that "i bet the majority of people have a below average IQ" and mark just rolling his eyes.

Last night was brilliant IMO.

"You killed Flop?!" .... "Flop was one of the good ones, man! He was old school!"

"If you didn't want to move in, you didn't have to bury me! Just send a fking text!" Olivia Coleman was great in this one.

Try early mid forties.

I don't know, I think they are still representative of a reasonably common demographic, especially in larger urban places like London.

I think this series has been fantastic

I agree. Age is irrelevant. People out there go through the same issues. I think I may buy a boxset after this (my first! cbiggrin)

Next weeks episode, Jeremy turns 40 ;-)

(IMDB has David as 41 and Robert at 43, I would have thought it would be the other way round)

She’s had a great time, though she keeps muttering something about a snake for some reason...

Without wanting to be a pedant, it's entirely possible for the majority of people to have below average IQ. It just takes a few massive IQ numbers to distort the average and move it higher up the distribution curve.

Now, if Jez had said "the majority of people have IQs below the median", Mark would have actually had the right to roll his eyes.

From this episode, the simple notion that Hans and Jez would get any amount of money from such a dodgy YouTube video made me laugh. The fact that it then set up a mad storyline about credit for the lyrics and the kidnapping of snake... that's what Peepshow does so well. Doesn't need to be laugh-out-loud gags, the simple fact that both storylines (lyrics dispute and ex-wife troubles) came to a head in a children's soft play centre was good enough for me.

"I took this bag"
"Er that's fine mate, really no problem."

I found that little conversation strangely funny

Well. I don't know what to say.

I think I'm completely disappointed and deflated. Not only because Peep Show is over, but because the final episode, IMO, was a huge letdown and not remotely funny. This season has been fantastic, but was a terrible way to bow out frown
