Wow. Fern in that snake pit has to be one of the bravest trials I've ever watched.
She could win this now.
I hope so, I had a bet on her to win when she was 18/1.

(I don't really like the show, so had to bet to keep me interested when the girlfriend is watching it)

Apparently Lady C left due to "Bullying" and threatened to sue ITV?

Snake pit was quite something, sure most people expected her to freak out but fair play to her, she was bloody brilliant. Reckon it is between Fern and Vicky now, with maybe Duncan next out, possibly, or not!

Are we the only people don't mind snakes? Thought it was an "Ok" task, obviously if you are scared of snakes then it is a different matter but we have had them as pets....

I don't mind snakes at all. I wouldn't have been able to do it with spiders though

I've had snakes as pets too - I didn't think it was that bad at all, still wouldn't have wanted to do it though biggrin

It's a sublime and fragile thing the human mind.

I cannot cope with or be around snakes, or fish too. Even when they are behind a glass wall it still totally freaks me out.

I don't know where this fear/phobia comes from (neither parent have issues with reptiles), it is very different to a 'fear', it is more like an absolute revulsion - I really can't explain it.

I've spent months living in far eastern places where these creatures are plentiful. I can cope with the spiders, the scorpions and the geckos and other insects being in my presence but snakes and fish freak the fvck out of me.

In the context of the game show you could put me in a tank full of horse p1ss mixed with cow, sheep, pig & dog st and just about anything else you can think of and I'd be fine.

Then tell me there is a snake in there and I'd be the first to call 'get me out'.

There are some very strange phobias that we carry and you have to wonder where they come from. Little Ex can't cope with house spiders, nor can his Mum, but I have no problem with them... where did he get that from? Same with a Daddy Longlegs.

Is it learned or inherited?

Its got to be nature as a defense mechanism. Its not a phobia, unless its irrational. We're all wired differently though, plus we have learned not to fear certain things.

I'm not afraid of spiders as such but if I'm trying to catch one and it makes a sudden move then I jump. Its not fear, its a survival instinct. My Father on the other hand can't be in the same room as a spider.....any spider.

Snakes, no problem and I reckon I would have been fine with that. Spiders, on the other hand would have been a major problem. I spent a year in Oz a few years ago and the first time I saw a Huntsman, and remember these can run and jump, it was dead on a fence and I would not get within 10 feet of it.
Towards the end I was based in Cairns and working in the Daintree rainforest and would see Giant Orbs as big as my hands and just go up close to look at them. Amazing how when you see them most days you sort of get used to them.
Having said all that there is no way on Gods green earth I would get in a fking underground cave with them, I would st myself mahoosively!!

Forgot to add I reckon it will be Georgie to go tonight, or maybe Tony

Ferne and Jorgie are so boring.

It'll be Vicky or Keiron who wins!

Always been tabloid tv and enjoyable, but IACGMOOH has definitely taken a turn downmarket in my view. The questions that are asked are often unnecessarily sleazy, and it's being shown later at night (with apparently the associated obligatory adult themes).

Shame really, this used to be family viewing, but no longer. It's on the way down.... I'll give it another couple of years.

That was horrendous. Guaranteed nightmares tonight.

But at least she seems willing to put pretty much anything in her mouth, that's encouraging.

I thought native species were protected in Australia? Were not a couple of "celebrities" fined a couple of seasons ago for "escaping" and killing a rat to eat?

The soppy tart should've just thrown the live spider behind her into the bushes.

Not only that, she'd already won the meals and was only playing for a treat from the vending machine, so may as well have taken the profiteroles?

I did want her to win though, based on the fact I found her extremely attractive.
