There was an episode when she jumped across a large room and seemed to hang in the air a little longer than you’d expect, but it’s not what anyone could call flying.

The show clearly made the decision to tone down any super powers so that story and character are the focus.

Two episodes in, and I’m liking it.

Is anyone else enough of a Marvel geek to get the Whizzer/mongoose reference?

Just finished series 2. Not sure what to say really - I really enjoyed the first series but it feels to me as though the production team doesn't know what her powers are or how to use her - the same thing I thought was wrong with The Defenders. This series is an origin story that focuses on everyone else but JJ really.

I have read the pacing is typically slow (a complaint levelled at all all of those in the Marvel's-TV-universe) however I find that binge-watching overcomes the feeling that it's being dragged-out. I have watched the whole series since Thursday night.

There are some good characters - I'm particularly keen to see where they go with Jeri Hogarth and Trish, and whether they can work out what she is supposed to do if they bother with a Defenders 2.

Finished season 2.

I get the feeling they are not that interested in the fact that she has super powers. I thought the same about season 1. That’s ok. It may be a budget saving measure, but I think concentrating on the damaged private investigator and her life works well. With just enough low level super strength to justify it being a Marvel show.

The moment with Trish and her super reflexes in the last episode is what I have been waiting for since we first found out that she was Patsy Walker. It was clear they were leading up to it. The final hint was when the nurse said she had used 2 of her 9 lives.

I thought it was OK but I didn't love it. There seemed to be plenty of potential but it just felt a bit flat.

Just finished JJ2

It was sloooooow, but I still enjoyed it.

Was a shame to lose Simpson so early, I think that a lack of a proper baddie slowed the series down a lot.

Three Lives and counting was my favourite episode as I loved DT as Killgrave in season 1.

I'm sure we'll see Trish developing her newly gained powers in season 3 wink

Gonna watch Luke Cage S2 now.

S3 now out on Netflix. Up to ep 10 and every bit as good as the first 2. Will finish it off tonight. Hopefully there’ll more series as it never fails to deliver quality intriguing drama
