My remedy to all of the above is too dip into http://petrolicious.com/films on a regular basis
What I love about this channel is the sheer diversity of cars and owners, the great filmography and the enthusiasm of the owners. The videos are just the right length and the cars and owners are the stars, not a presenter with an agenda trying to raise his or hers personal brand.
It would be great to have a UK version of this channel, I wonder????….
Was going to post the Petrolicious channel as I was reading through this thread. I really like the setup of this channel, bringing in the owner to talk about their car, their history with it and so on. Mixing it in with some fantastic cinematography to create what is essentially a short film. TheSmokingTire with Matt Farah is a similar setup and a decent channel although he does get on my nerves fairly quickly. He puts out regular content but nothing like the quality of Petrolicious which I suppose comes to the thread topic of quality vs. quantity - it takes an awful lot of work to put out regular high quality content and id imagine these youtube channels are working with very small teams, individuals even, to put things together. I would much prefer the high quality content and great video reviews over the 'lifestyle' type channels of Shmee150 and the other supercar spotters (although I do watch them from time to time). What I love about this channel is the sheer diversity of cars and owners, the great filmography and the enthusiasm of the owners. The likes of Chris Harris on Cars and EvoTV are at the top of motoring journalism on youtube and I look forward to seeing new videos of theirs more than other channels. Chris Harris' last video with the P1 vs. 918 vs. LaFerrari was absolutely spectacular and if future content can be just half as good as that then he is doing everything right.
One great channel that I came across that has become a favourite is from an Italian guy called Davide Cironi - Drive Experience who does some great videos blasting 70s/80s/90s classics around some nice Italian roads - the downside being that its all in Italian and only some of his videos have English subtitles on. Even in Italian they are still worth a watch though.
Some of the English subtitled stuff
DC2 Integra Type R
Renault Clio Williams
600hp Escort Cosworth
Renault 5 Turbo 2
Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1
Fiat Uno Turbo vs. Renault 5 GT Turbo
A UK version of this channel would be great.

That's interesting. So he's either jacking it in or found a another source of cash.
This is a shame, I guess his own personal videos will go out the window if Top Gear goes ahead.I loved his videos mainly as they were so beautifully filmed and edited by Neil Carey hopefully he is involved moving forward.

I really hope CH is still in! The typical celeb worship is rather predictable and tedious.
