Robot Wars is coming back
Discussion
I think it's good that less of the big spinner fights are ending in one or two hits and it's done. The fight with Skorpios and Icewave was great. After the Duck fight I'm still not sure that anyone outside of Beta, who aren't there this year, have made anything that can reliably do a full 3 minutes with Tombstone. It ripped the corner of their plow off with no effort at all and I think that's 3/4" thick wear plate steel.

Where's the PH entry? There's enough smart/crazy people here to do it
Where's the money come from...Would love the money for for Desktop Metal 3d printer and print off titanium other metal reducing my skill needed! to make my bot!
If people can crowd fund other silly things then surely we can crowd fund the money for a robot?
Granted it would be a half spin, half flip, half crush, half on fire robot because nobody would agree about the design so it would be lucky to even make it into the arena. Actually, do we build it in America because given a recent thread there is going to be a massive fight about carrying it in hand luggage?
Since I can barely use a screwdriver I'll just accept my position on the team and put on the cheerleader outfit and distract (terrify) the crowd. I'll also be the professional drunk in the team because someone needs to be and it doesn't take much these days so it's good for the budget.

Isn't warhead utterly pants? I don't understand how they went from Razer to that pile of crap.
They did build it in 2002. I quite like it if I'm honest although not so much of a fan of the dinosaur head which is getting more outings this season. Now they've broken the disk hopefully they'll build something new if/when there's another season.Pre Warhead they did enter Razer into Battlebots, it didn't do well. The title says 2016 but this is from 1999. https://youtu.be/qLpuBcf1AhQ

Their spinning disc looked different to the one they lost completely against Minotaur last year, last years was a solid head this one that broke looked to more of a bowl with a different spinning mechanism inside probably to prevent decapitation again, so it broke instead. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a spare head but probably Dino head for the next one anyway, will be an escape for Blacksmith their spinner could wipe the hammer off like Minotaur did last year.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
