Battlebots extra from 2016, Hellachopper the spinner that was DQ'd over concerns the battlebox couldn't contain the weapons destructive power. And it setting itself on fire.

Wow what an episode of battlebots that was! I feared for icewave against huge but the horizontal spinner won, i think if huge had solid wheels like Gabriel of RW it would have stood a better chance.
Me and the missus argued over the last rumble winner, i thought bombshell she thought duck... both had a good fight but duck just didnt do any damage and bombshell did.
Personally I would have had duck in the top 16 anyways, they had a great season and deserved a place in my opinion regardless of the rumble. They need to come back with a more aggresive weapon or a massive drivetrain upgrade to turn them into a 200lb battering ram.

Help me I'm confused. How does Witch Doctor which has a 2-1 win record get seeded and through to the last 16 but Warhead with a 3-0 win record not get through? And I don't think it's the only bot to lose a match that got through, Ice Wave lost earlier as did War Hawk but they got the extra chance in this episode with a 4th fight. Did Warhead retire, I only watch the bouts not the fluff.

I thought it was Duck all the way and they were robbed. They damaged Valkyrie, admittedly by feeding them to an immobile Gigabyte. Not sure what they'll bring next season. They said Duck was just something they built because the ridiculous 6 week build time meant they couldn't get their crazy vector drive ring spinner working properly. Now it's popular maybe they'll bring Duck back though.

Not sure how Witch Doctor made it. The producers love them for some reason. I suspect spares/ability to keep repairing counted against Warhead. They only had the one disk and I suspect the dino head would get ruined fast. I really hope the Warhead guys build something new for next season. Ian Lewis was a judge on 'King of Bots', maybe Spectre has inspired him to make a next generation Razer.

It makes sense when you see it in context of these new rules but they should have explained that a bit better in the show as it does look very much like Duck should have been the victor.
