Super Nova seems to have the same problem warhead has in that the gyroscopic forces off the disc are too much for the rest of the robot. Teetering on the edge of control.

However at the BBC decided to bring this back with such short notice to get robots built and ready needs to give back their 6 figure salary.

Yup. Needed some significant ballast over the back wheel that kept lifting. I wonder whether you could make contra-rotating disks to counter the forces?

It's all a bit too soft and wholesome for me. Battle bots feels much more gladiatorial.

Nice video by Dantomkia there. Probably going straight in the pit after those fighting words!

Supernova performed a lot better in previous wars and was the runner up to Storm 2 in the 3rd Robot World Championship.

Is the there any prizes for the winners? Might need more incentive to get better quality robots

Didn't realise that, thought they were new! They mentioned not having tested anything!

Semi crushed a flimsy metal bin. Won't do jack to a robot.... Unless it is made of MDF perhaps.

I knew one of the robots was going to practically drive into the pit, surprised they didn't both go in!
