The flippers were more effective when you could get flipped out of the arena. That isn't possible now.
It is still possible, it just more difficult as only a small part of the arena wall is uncovered
Didn't a robot get flipped out just last week? confused

Yeah I think it was correct, they didn't get themselves going without input from the house robot. Having said that, if they didn't drive themselves into the pits they would have won.

The one episode I didn't see! hehe

But it's a much less regular occurrence with the new higher walls.

Pulsar owned except for the unreliable drive. That stupid giant wheeled thing was just pointless. Inflicted zero damage.
Hope all the final guys manage to make everything reliable and there's insane carnage.

From what I can work out, the whole series was filmed over a few days, so it doesn't look like they'd have had time to go away, fix their robots properly, and return.

Yeah the wheel thing was a bit useless with inflicting damage but impressed with how much damage it took and still kept going. Didn't think it would last more than a few seconds against one of the spinner robots.

Oh frown

Also did anyone else notice that the young pulsar kid was like "I have no engineering experience and just taught myself the tools, like... A drill." Yet he had a full catia model and amazing 3D milled parts? Wouldn't surprise me if there was 50k in that robot.
Also im going to guess there were some "consultants" involved...
Suspicious as heck to me.
