Interesting move, that's the ladies eye candy sorted.
Good choice imo.

Although this is a little worrying:

"Chris Evans said of his new TG presenter: “Matt’s a lifelong fellow petrolhead and I’m thrilled he’s joining Top Gear. Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas."

Worrying in that they will try to recreate the 'old new TG' and make an embarrassing hash of trying to appear wacky and funny. Hopefully not, as I'm looking forward to seeing it, but the feeling remains.

That said, I enjoyed his appearances on old new TG.

Mmmm, Matt Le Blanc, yum. But does it make up for having to look at Chris Evans I wonder?

Fastest lap in a reasonably priced car.

Did some other top gear work on BBC America also.

Looks like a good choice. How many presenters are there now?

What? But I thought Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Sebine Smit, Suzy Perry, Chris Harris, Davina McCall and Guy Martin had already been "confired" as Top Gear Presenters - it's going to be a very busy sofa! wink

I think it's a good choice, he's a bit deadpan in real life but he loves his cars and bikes and obviously is comfortable in front of camera.

This won't go down well with the top gear sycophants.

I always thought they should ask Guy Martin.

What's happening with Harris and Sabine then?

Are they still presenters too?

I would suspect that Sabine would co-present and Harris drives.

Hard to take this seriously, already feel that Evans has a lack or credibility as a "car person", let alone LeBlanc. No doubt should just remember that it's an entertainment show first and foremost........

Hmmm

"Old" Top Gear - ideas by very knowledgeable motoring journalists

"New" Top Gear - ideas by media studies graduates

Can you imagine Evans/Le Blanc coming up with the Peugeot crap cars for crap drivers idea? No.

cjs racing.
