I've recently started Spooks again on Netflix - it's dated very well and still a cracking show.

Was that the episode with the deep fat fryer? That was "gritty TV", to say the least.

It was the second or third episode; my dad bought all series on DVD last year and we binged-watched them. Held up pretty well despite starting around 2002ish.

My Fiancee has watched it all, but i hadn't.

So we started watching it on Netflix, on season 2 now, Love Harry! He's ace.

Aged very well and good scripts

Never mind Harry; it has Keeley Hawes in it.

Just watched it all for the second time. I like season 3 best (season 1 was a bit dodgy!)

I can't remember each individual series, just various bits and the memory of it all being enjoyable. I've got it all on DVD but for some reason never get around to watching it. Maybe if I fill my HDD recorder with the re-showing, I'll see it all again.

Noooooo. This means the chippy scene will be on again.

Ffs that gave me proper scary dreams after watching it!

It's utter nonsense, but eminently watchable! Enjoy!

God that was awful. First her hand and then her head wasn't it? Urgh.

Great show though. I enjoyed the recent film as well!

I think one of the things that made me like the show was the short piece, after her service, where the smug bloke who'd dunked her in the fryer and got away with it was bumped off.

Great show.

The missus hadn't seen it so we downloads the lot and started from scratch.

It was great to watch again and she loved it.

Yep, that was satisfying. And well presented - the way it was seen through one of the roadside CCTV cameras (although, being cynical, what self respecting band of spooks would allow themselves to be caught on CCTV wasting someone?).

That was a theme that ran through all the series. I am sure I recall other episodes where justice was handed out "unofficially"

Yes, in fact right up to the last few minutes of the final episode.

Your TV guide is correct - sorry, looks as if this actually started on January 23rd and yesterday was, in fact, Ep3. I must have been half-watching the advert, but mentioned it to a mate in the pub last night and he thought it was starting yesterday. Clear from the start, though, that the deep fat fryer incident had been and gone.
