I feel sorry for his wife. She's been warning him for some time, but he keeps talking over her. This will end in many tears, but at least he can drive, unlike Tony "the dealer".

Perhaps that's the idea behind his show, the last supper.

Caught 5 mins of last night's episode.

Some young woman on benefits "I've been on benefits for 15 years, I don't want to be on benefits, I've tried to get a job, it's the governments fault"

then said...

"I don't want to do cleaning - too much like a chore"

All whilst living in a very modernly decorated house, very up to date appliances, birthday party spread of all kinds of party food (looked like it was from Iceland, admittedly) and Smirnoff Vodka. I doubt any of her clothes were second hand.
That's not quite my definition of poverty or 'the needy'.

He swallowed the snake to catch the lizard, he swallowed the lizard to catch the spider, he swallowed the spider to catch the fly..........

He should take his Burl Ives soundtrack with him.

I want to see the RSPCA pay a visit so those poor animals can be saved before they get stage-struck.

Ginger reacted like a 12-year old. At least he had the sense to realise the raccoon had to go - first rational thing he's done.

Am wondering just how bad their finances are to have to sell the Raccoon over £400 odd quid.

Probably borderline ginger. Nice to see them hold a successful event, but they're going to have to organise one every week to maintain the business.

Tony may lack confidence when dealing with bureaucracy and officialdom, but he's got good patter and rapport with his kind of customer. I reckon he ought to stick to boot sales - I don't think he could cope with running a shop. I couldn't reconcile the figures the programme quoted - he took £130 at the boot sale and they said this was more than he had left to live on when he was on benefits. But they didn't mention that this £130 would have to pay his rent and council tax etc..

Single mum bought 2 ducks, with apparently no access to water. And I thought she was the bright one.

I have a feeling that at least 2 families will be back on benefits after the 12 months is up - single mum still jobless, and Tony realising that he isn't making enough from the business. Although scouser was apparently a tosser, oddly enough things could work out. It helps that his missus is pretty savvy.

The family fun day has a smell of "set up by the TV company" I mean face painters where did they come from? More scripted reality but for Tony, his wife and son they have come a long way I mean Christ she even gave the minging cooker a clean. Single scary woman just paid off her bright house and went through the motions, she is truly a scary type of woman but suitable for a Scotty road pub.

I had to laugh at the editing when Tony was saying he had some class stock and they showed some weird cat watch.
Good luck to him in his driving test, I suspect a few disapointments are on the horizon........and I don't meen his wifes tache growing back quicker than his!

That Scott bloke is punching above his weight, his wife is sensible and actually pretty hot.

He called the cat watch "quality". Like the shire horse models fresh off the boat from China. I smiled when he was discussing his future business model with the show's financial expert - "take that ring, I buy it off you for £20 but it's worth £80, see?". I think Cash Converters had better watch out. Tony has discovered a whole new avenue to wealth and riches.

I was disappointed to see him fob off his wife when she suggested jobs to do around the house - that points to a typical work shirker. I still fear for them - his wife's new job turned out to be 2.5 hours per day, probably on or near minimum wage. If he only does one boot sale per week, they simply will not have enough income to pay their way. I have a feeling that they still didn't know they had to register with the tax office, and start at least minimum voluntary NI contributions. Paperwork wasn't their forte.

Single mum had paid off her debts, paid rent in advance etc., but wasn't making much effort to find employment. She needs to get a banger up her jacksy - time flies by very quickly when you're complacent.

I agree that the scousers' Family Day was probably arranged with some assistance, but at least it's a viable business proposition - he's the last person I thought would "make it". The church hall was a freebie, and he'll have to take that into account when calculating his costs, but one of those a week, plus maybe a kid's birthday party, and he should be able to make a living.

He could do a saturday and a sunday in separate places and do nothing all week - a lifestyle business making circa £600 profit a week ish - that would work.

Not sure if I missed it but, didn't hear mention of cost of pitch/consumables set against day's take.

Agree with how well he pitched his wares - was almost as if he had been at it for years.

Also, funny how quickly he seemed to 'change' when extra work around the house was mentioned.

Sorry late reply, I'm just watching a recording of the show, one left.

Raccoons are no longer scheduled dangerous wild animals, so you don't need a licence. A few other animals were removed from the list, I think skunks were another main one.

I agree with most of the points - Tony seems a bit simple. He has the gift of the gab for sure, but it's all just twaddle with no substance. He was way over-bidding on the things at the auction, although I appreciate he was probably feeling pressured by the crew to spend. The cable reels went for £16 I think - so plus premium and vat they were at least £7 each (and two didn't work, but I suspect a new fuse and/or thermal trip would have fixed them). And buying any furniture to resell with just a small van? Crazy!

The Raoul chap - his wife had her head screwed on and I'm sure wishes she had sat down at the beginning and made a list of what they NEEDED and stuck to it. eg. an expensive lizard is as likely to be appreciated by children as a cheaper one. Buy one bouncy castle and buy another when you know you will get clashes or it's not what some people want. Don't buy an expensive printer/copier, put the money towards higher quality leaflets. Don't spent £700 on a desk and PC!

I'm still wondering why, as a trained electrician, he didn't just go back out to work. Surely it's more flexible with their 'tricky' child situation?

It's okay they're business tycoons now;

Their website www.partycentralentertainments.com doesn't work though, which is promising.
