Trapped - latest BBC4 foreign language drama

I'm feeling a need for an Isuzu with huge wheelarch extensions and balloon tyres. Leaning towards the full-on nutter version the police had with the extra high ground clearance, floodlights and so on rather than the tamer daily driver.
Iceland looks to be a constant combination of cold dark and snow.

Cheerful little romp, isn't it?
I'm not surprised that they're all a little Looney Tunes, but it has great pace and delivery - with that hint of allowing the viewer to be a quarter of a step ahead.
Without any spoilers for those still catching up, but you knew from his eyes what matey was going to do in the transport, and you also knew the padlock key find - but these points don't detract from the basic "is that one a goodie or a baddie" and "I don't believe so-and-so's stupidity" twists.
Who else finds themselves shivering?

That was another thoroughly enjoyable series.
I must pay another visit to Iceland one day. The one day visit I did just wasn't long enough.
So next up is a Danish series, 'Follow the money'

Danish drama series set in the economic crime world: at banks, in the equity market and in boardrooms. When the body of a man is washed ashore near a wind farm, police detective Mads is called out to investigate. At first, it merely looks like an industrial accident, but the case implicates the upper echelons of Energreen - one of Denmark's most successful and leading energy companies. The CEO of Energreen is the charismatic Sander, and young lawyer Claudia is working hard to advance in the company. Nicky, a former car thief and mechanic, works at his father-in-law's garage. He has put his life of crime behind him for his girlfriend's sake, but his new colleague Bimse tempts Nicky with a chance to make a quick buck. (In Danish with English subtitles).

I went a few years back and it is a little odd parking up in a supermarket car park in a Kia next to a full on monster truck with massive tyres and floodlights. You don't see any jealousy or showing off with cars though, if you have a 4x4 you have one to use it not because it looks good on the driveway.Iceland looks to be a constant combination of cold dark and snow.
I would go back tomorrow if I had a decent off roader to explore with.

I know what you mean. It looks to be the coldest place in the world but then our hero goes out without seeming to wrap us as much as the rest. Proper manly stuff.
If you want to watch something Icelandic that will really make you feel cold, then I can recommend The Deep http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1764275/?ref_=nm_knf_i... based on a true story, and starring the same guy who played the Chief of Police.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
