I suppose it was slightly less embarrassing than the first series.
There was at least as much utter bks, though. For a start, they would need, what, more than double the power to increase top speed by a third? Even the 20% increase that they supposedly managed would need a 75%(?) power increase. Would any engine designed or developed in this century take that without replacement internals and a lot of work?
As for the rolling road nonsense... . I'm surprised they didn't just fit a 200mph speedo and wait for a small boy to turn up and say "What'll it do, mister?".
Still, I've always fancied a fast Ford. Now I know that all I have to do to get one is fit a digital speedo to my wife's KA, jack the front wheels off the ground, rev it to the max in top gear, and whatever the speedo shows is the official top speed.

I happened to catch part of the latest series whilst channel surfing. They turned a Bentley Continental into an off roader with jacked up suspension, knobbly tyres, and an external roll cage with spare wheel and jerry cans mounted on it. So it seems to be carrying over the lack of taste from the original series, even with all new people.
Just seen bits of the past 2 episodes (Aston Martin with super charger and some sticky backed plastic graphics, then a mapped Panamera) and the whole Mr Big premise is just cringeworthy to the extreme. Someone please tell that guy to get his (thinning) hair cut and his mate appears to only have the one suit. I guess that wouldn't be quite so bad if it wasn't brown?!
I'm guessing this is aimed at children / teenagers?

Just seen the episode where the try to build a bike to beat a P1 Mclaren, it made me laugh out loud, they kept talking about removing weight & after speaking to engineers they put carbon fairings on the Ducati, then left the standard wheels on which add to unsprung mass so why no Carbon wheels & why would you leave the standard heavy exhaust system on.
They then added to the weight by putting on a fake tailpipe.
