There's some good engineering that goes on with this programme if they actually focussed on this more they'd have a good programme instead they concentrate on hamming it up.

I think it's a mixed bag when it comes to engineering. Look at that high security G-Wagon they did. Thinking about it I think that actually might be the worst car of the series. The Bentley and Panamera are not far behind though. I am not sure how to even rate the GTR episode as it's difficult to say what was even done to the car given they used a different car in the final test.

It's a shame really this program has been done in the way it has as it's rare to see people play around with high end cars in this type of show and it could have had real potential if they had dropped the whole Mr Khan bks and focused on real car builds.

Firstly why not just buy a red Camaro in the first place & then they didn't even paint the doorshuts so they were still the original black!!!

Secondly they talked about doing the scissor doors but when they were carrying out the RHD conversion they'd already fitted the doors.

This could be a good program if they'd just stop fking about.

When they were doing the RHD conversion I was thinking I didn't know they had scissor doors! Nice bunch of VIP clients as well, looked like they'd invited in the queue at the bus stop outside.

I had the misfortune to see the G-Wagen episode. I thought the end product was downright dangerous if they were selling it as "secure" - "it's bulletproof...as long as your attackers only aim at certain parts of the vehicle."

I guess the fact they will never actually sell any of these things for real makes it OK. Anyone who really wanted a secure car would go to one of the many companies who do this stuff for real I would assume.

I fall into hating this program but compelled to watching.
Question regarding the last one though, I didn't know about Australia and banning LHD, and then there's a large amount of companies who only do RHD conversions, how much does it cost, why aren't they imported here / companies doing it on an industrial scale here?
I haven't checked much, but I presume this is the case as they flew them over from Oz.

My impression is American cars are more popular in Aus than in the UK so I think it makes sense if they had a law banning LHD (if that's true given the source of the information) cars that would create a pretty big opportunity for companies offering RHD conversions. I would imagine if we banned LHD cars in the UK it would do a similar thing though not as much due to their not being as much demand for cars that might be LHD.

Frustrating and compelling in equal measure.

The interview with the country toff was cringeworthy.

How did "I would like a gun case in the back of my bentley" turn into off-road prep, lpg conversion, a st roof box and a dodgy body kit.

As for advertising Kahn's business, using taxtherich's modus operandi might not be the best bet.

If someone did anything like that to my Bentley (In the fantasy world where I own one smile) I would go fking mental - to even consider fixing anything to the roof in any way shape or form is about as bad as it gets in my view. I could forgive them the amendment to the air suspension but if I asked for a gun case I would expect it to be of a quality that is in keeping with that of a Bentley, not some tweed covered piece of foam shoved in the boot. At least it might hide the st awful additional petrol tank.

As for the LPG - that was completely staged in my view because the shot of the LPG tank in the boot just had the pipework tucked over the back of it and there were no permanent fixings visible in the boot, plus I think the pipes were just connected together and laid over the engine - it was just a mock up and never happened. Sums up the show for me really - just a complete sham and thinly disguised advert for Khan designs (albeit a very bad one, hope he's learned a lesson).

What an odd program, their little dodgy design fella is kind of like Noel Gallagher meets Mr Bean.

Well I've watched every episode as well for some reason! The more I watch the more I can't believe Kahn and his moronic sidekick are genuine, nobody can be that much of a dick surely? Has anyone ever met him?
I worked with him for a year and can assure you he is far, far worse. A charlatan and a bully.

It is true. Look up the "Australian Design Rules", and realize how lucky we are in the UK. smile

I've stopped watching it, I can just about tolerate Wheeler Dealers by ignoring the fat one and watching what Ed does. I really don't think there is anything in this show that is worth wasting my time watching it.
Not that I'd be likely to buy a car from Khan but after watching one or two episodes of this show I would go out of my way to not buy a car from his company.

I hate to give them any credit but thought it was quite interesting to see an Audi with tracks. I was already aware of the existence of these tracked add on systems so I knew straight away what they would end up with when they said they were using tracks but to see them in operation was fairly impressive.

Lots of nonsense of course as per normal apart from the tracks.

I had the misfortune of watching this thinking it was going to be interesting.

So, let me get this right..

An Asian bloke from Bradford who apparently can't spell his last name correctly was on camera saying that he knows more about styling cars and vehicle aerodynamics than the established styling departments of major manufacturers...

And National Geographic were actually silly enough to give them the budget for this?

There is one born every minute.
