Maybe she is an "asset" of the secret services just like Pine is? Maybe she is an asset of the CIA? scratchchin
I think operation Limpit has gotten her on. She's the secret mole. I reckon there'll be confusion over the moles, we'll find out that one has been killed, before she's acknowledged as one, and we'll tink blond boy has got it...or the CIA guy will burn Blond boy, to save his asset.

In the first or second episode where we find out Jed has a son I think she is talking to her mother who seems to have custody of him?

The first ep, the Brienne of Tarth replica rings home and has a chat with her mum. We don't find out much save that her mum is hostile to her daughter, but willing to take her cash, call her a 'ho', etc.

In the third ep we find out she has a son, and HL is fine with paying for him.

You're half right. It's the start of the second ep where the mum calls her. She asks "How's Billy" and the mother says "They say he doesn't even ask about you anymore"

So mum doesn't have the kid but "They" do.

(Had to quickly skip through both ep!)

Totally appalling screenplay, some parts of the plot look like they've been added as an afterthought - they seem that random. Good acting and locations save it, but only just.

It's not exactly The Wire is it hehe Bad screenplay as you say and very cliched, cheesy dialogue. Entertaining none the less.

Yep, 'tis shaping up nicely.
Yeah not much left to see of her now. Guess we'll get the full frontal when TH taps it.

She looks just fine to me.
I must admit to saying to my wife "She's very skinny" when she was crying in her room, but when she entered the sea, she was really quite curvaceous.

Possibly not the same body?

I think the quality of this is top notch. "Not quite 'The Wire'"? Well, thank God for that, I don't think I need an English language programme that needs subtitles on on a Sunday evening wink

Clearly, they're very different (chalk and chewositneawq - No, that last word makes no sense, but is about as clear as I found most of the first two episodes of The Wire before admitting defeat!), but I'm really enjoying the Night Manager.

rofl Lets hope so!!
Really enjoying this, can see James Bond style in it and very well acted, even if the story is somewhat far fetched!

Be interesting to see how Le Carre manages to extend the story into a second series. I assume the original book had an ending.
