Shameless promotion of Mike Brewer motors there at the end!

I bet you also like Mk3 ford escorts, cause that is just a bigger ford escort with a v8 in it, and not a very powerful v8 at that ~ 120bhp for 4.2l 140bhp for the 4.9l

Maybe in 1979 the 4.9 was 140bhp but by 1987 it was 225 (which was a lot back in the day).

That looked fking awful.
Terrible car to choose, nice to see more Ed, but rim protectors were awful.

Much better than the previous episodes. Not sure about the red detailing as it looked nice in just black.

Don't mind the Fox body Mustang, does look like a lovechild between a Sierra and Mk3 Escort.

Red stuff was rubbish, liked Ed's tee shirt

I think the red probably makes it looks more 90's which is good for that car. I wouldn't have done it, or the rim protectors but it was too much black before.

Ed's t-shirt

Rollin' in my 5.0
With my ragtop down so my hair can blow

I see that Edd's terrible taste reared its ugly head again with those wheel protectors and the red stripe.

Not the finest part of the rebuild I agree but a far better show than of late.

+1
Hopefully the first thing the new owner does is remove the tacky red stuff.

Really? You sat though the previous 2 episodes? I though they were far worse than the mustang one (which was still pretty bad).

Maybe I'm showing my age, but I liked it. Pure late '80s/early '90s retro. XR red or RS blue trim stripes (or whatever the US equivalent was).

I would have taken that car in a shot.

Yeah me too, thought from the beginning it was going to be crap but once Edd started work it was OK. As chav tastic was the wheel gators where it actually looked good.

I hate to say it as I was quite damning earlier but it doesn't look too bad

I watched it tonight. It was an improvement over the last two, not least because Mike didn't appear to do any spannering and we saw much more of Edd. However, it did appear to be a little rushed and wham, bam, slam on the parts. We didn't even see the car get painted! However, seeing the exhaust manifolds being mandrel bent and welded by robots was interesting. I really enjoy those segments almost as much as Edd's spannering.

I confess that I turned off once the car was finished and they went off on their cruise down to the drag strip - it just got very tedious very quickly and I'd kind of had enough by then. Maybe I'll watch that another night or maybe I'll not bother.

I hate to say it, but I do wonder if Wheeler Dealers has run its course now.

That was a decent episode. Much better than the Honda CVCC episode. Thought the red stripe and rim protectors worked very well. Surprised though that Edd was in the car when they did the drag run.

Just catching up on this tonight.

Really enjoying it - love the Fox body Mustang. End result was properly 80s, too.

Better than the last two episodes. It's as if they knew it was going in the wrong direction and consciously tried to go back to the original formula. We will see when the next one is transmitted.
