Thought the air con install section was a bit weak - I'd have loved to have seen a bit more info about it as I have considered such an upgrade for my Amazon, but given the amount of time you really need it in this country, it hardly seems worth it for the expense and hassle… unless my six numbers match one week.
I can understand why they installed the unit in front of the passenger seat: the PV has a very, very long gearstick (about a meter in length and I'm not joking). Brewer/China did mention clearance issues during the show to be fair to them.
They picked a system really meant for an old truck or full size car, not exactly discreet, vintage air sell some small units, or even ones that fit in the boot (sorry, trunk..) http://www.vintageair.com/2015%20Catalog/2015%20Vi...I can understand why they installed the unit in front of the passenger seat: the PV has a very, very long gearstick (about a meter in length and I'm not joking). I've been enjoying the series, if only because its a welcome break from all the 'reality' shows the wife watches. Ed has been acting a bit wierd and it does seem a bit strange Mike doing things. I'm wondering if Ed has got a secret project that is going to revealed later in the series. He was working on a V8 at the start of last nights episode, which unless they've actually opened a 'shop' in Cali and it was a customers engine, so its either just acting or its for a different project. Also in the first episode I think it was, as Mike walks into the workshop Ed disappears with no real explanation carrying a box of bits so possibly for a secret project? But maybe I just like conspiracy theories?
.
Also the Geiger counter last week? Are they building an electric car powered by a diy nuclear reactor made from a V8?.

The WD boys released 30bhp for $1500 (not inlcuding labour). Including labour would be at least $2000.Pro rata, to double the power would be $15,000.......but pro-rata doesn't work with tuning, and the law of diminishing returns applies, so in reality to double the power would cost A LOT more.

The 5L Rover V8 in the TVR Griffith 500 and Chimaera 500, which was heavily reworked by TVR Power with most of the tuning tricks in the book, made around 260bhp in the 1990s (although TVR claimed 340bhp but that was frankly donkey poop). So it's not as laughable as you make out. Especially as a Federalised USA engine would have had to contend with far more stringent emissions regulations. Not if you supercharge. Forced induction doesn't play by those rules. The engine is understressed and can handle a lot more boost that most of the time.Pro rata, to double the power would be $15,000.......but pro-rata doesn't work with tuning, and the law of diminishing returns applies, so in reality to double the power would cost A LOT more.

Almost a great project, only for Ed, as usual when left to his own thoughts on finishing, to ruin it at the last hurdle. Just, why!
Do you honestly believe that Edd has full editorial control of the programme and that they just point a few cameras at him, bung him some dosh, and let him get on with it? LuS1fer said:
