True but did you see the price for the respray & don't forget they were welding & treating the rust patches themselves.
Your right it probably was paid for by Honda.
Hmm thinking about it, it most definitely was.Your right it probably was paid for by Honda.
1. A classic Honda
2. A new super-efficient Honda
3. Selling the finished car to Honda
Lots of little promos everywhere.
The new fake banter between Mike and Edd is getting on my tits though. Painful to watch.

Last night's was on a par with the Pacer monstrosity for badness..
I was thinking this last night - pretty dire episode and I hit fast forward on more than once occasion (NEVER done that before with a new episode of WD).That 'hyper miler' bloke… can you imagine how tragic his life is?
"Hey guess what, honey. I got me an extra 0.2 mpg on that thar freeway today. Yeehaw!" (wife heads to the bedroom for a little cry and reflects on the startlingly high number of 'accidental' US spousal shootings…)
Just seen that the Amphicar from a couple of series ago is up for auction in Denmark soon.

I don't mind Mike Brewer - have a lot of respect for his success, but yesterday's episode had me plotting illegal renditions of him to some far away desert island where he might have Tim Shaw for company.
I'd keep them there just long enough to allow Edd and Fuzz to get stuck into a series restoring some classics without any of the bks "storyline" or haggling crap.
How hard is it to make a TV programme?

Well I enjoyed it, made a change from the usual stuff.
Did anyone else notice the back wheel of the Honda looked very unhappy coming off the low loader? Looked like to was about to fall off.
Also the Eco-friendly special water based paint, in fairly sure that's been the norm in the UK for a couple of years now.

There was something very odd about the Honda episode. There's no way MB would have randomly chosen such an obscure car, and the theory of making it into an eco-car to compete with modern ones was not only pointless, but ultimately unsuccessful.
Then Honda paid top dollar for a completely non-original car to go in their collection. Non-original paint, dash, TPM etc.
When the chap from Honda was looking around it, he stuck his head inside, and I reckon those were brand new seats.
Edd rushed through his jobs, and farmed out almost all of it. Mike started the show having already found the car, the 'owner' of which was never actually seen.
All was not as it seemed, if you ask me. Although, of course, nobody did.
