I think your intense hatred of Sky TV has impaired your ability to perform rational thought.
Knowing the history of Sky TV and how they undermined their competition by refusing to comply with the Conditional Access regulations of European broadcasting while at the same time paying hackers to distribute information to allow rival conditional access systems to be bypassed, you are correct in one assumption - that I dislike Sky TV and not one thin dime of my money will knowingly go their way.

This Motors TV issue is just latest in a long line of issues third party channel owners have had with Sky. Your nit-picking is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

You seem really quite bitter. Did Rupert Murdoch bum your dog or something?

I don't expect anyone with a perfunctory knowledge of Rupert Murdoch's shady practices to understand.

...in the knowledge that their monthly direct debit payments to Sky are not required to be able to watch the channel.

Why do you say that?
It's a link to a DSC.com (Daily Sports Car) explanation of whats happening with Motors TV and Sky.
IMHO not a malicious link at all.

It has some low-level spyware/tracking software embedded in it. Some AV programs will throw a warning as a result. It's not entirely malicious, just nosy.

Really. How do I go about that as my previous attempts at retuning anything on Sky has ended with nothing happening.

First Freeview channel 71, now this. At the risk of 2+2=5 I get the feeling they might not be paying on time...

For the moment it can be added manually via the Services, Options, Add Channels menu with the following details : 11.082 H, 22.000, 5/6, DVB-S, QPSK.
11.082 by using the numbers on the remote, select for 22 and 5/6 settings.

Then you have to select "find channels" then it gives you a list of channels using those settings, press select on MotorsTV (so it is ticked) then the yellow button to save. Then go into the main menu, services then other channels and MotorsTV will be there, it does not add it to the EPG, it can only be selected from the other channels section.

Just FYI it also works fine to view on BT TV boxes ... just go to channel 240 and wait for the text screen to come up informing you to press the red button to watch and ...errr... press the red button!

It'll pause a couple of seconds and then start streaming. You can't record it though, unlike the streaming channels that BT offer.

Lots of 'internet connected' TVs will play it. My old 2012 vintage Samsung did and my new Sony Bravia does too.
