Agreed. I said to the Mrs: "I'll chuck this on, i'll probably FFWD through it in 20 mins" but ended up watching it properly, decent show last night.

Hope they come back for another series, would be great if Tim toned down the silliness just a notch or two.

Yeah, i've just watched last nights re-cap show and really enjoyed it. This show has a lot of warmth, and Fuzz and Tim are genuinely enthusiastic petrolheads, i enjoy their banter too. I look forward to future shows from the pair. smile

You get the added bonus with Car SOS of trying to guess what's going to be wrong with the owner

I would have thought that maybe some of the illnesses/health issues of the owners would have led to their driving licences being withdrawn thus making them unable to drive the restored car on public roads and so making the restoration less viable in the first place?

Some of them have.

There was a farmer with dementia recently who had had his licence withdrawn so his son drove the car.

(I couldn't find another link to this, so hopefully not a repost)
I follow Car SOS on Facebook and this was on their timeline today - very sad news.
Glad that he got to spend some time with his beloved Audi.
RIP

"We are very sad to say goodbye to our old friend and fellow petrolhead Barry Hollamby who passed away earlier this week after a long battle with cancer . Barry appeared in series 3 when his family nominated his 1984 Audi Quattro turbo for a CarSOS restoration and more recently we saw him in Tim and Fuzz's road trip in series 4 still enjoying his beloved motor. Our condolences to partner, family and friends. Our thoughts are with you"

Yes, saw that earlier on FB, sad news, on a lighter note theyve just been commissioned with another 10 episodes.

I have just had my brand new 'The Beat' LP arrive.

And who does it say is on the drums, Fuzz Townshend!
