Not listened to him in ages but was driving back from Luton and was stuck in traffic on the M1 and had him on, I thought it was the traffic turning me mental, but I changed the radio for a cd and the mental went, it was him, he keep saying "Seriously Jockin", time after time and it was driving me insane.

Can anyone listen to him without self harming ?

Who are the mentals that contact him to encourage him ?

Wrighty gets a lot of stick but he's not the worst thing on Radio 2 by a very long way.

I think I'm a reasonably placid sort of chap, but I really can't stand him. I've taken to texting comments to the R2 number to ask him to shut up. I just cannot listen to him now; the inane crap they talk about, the stuff lifted wholesale off US internet sites, the applause, the obsequeous interviews, the way he reads out 'great show Steve', and the way he joins-in to the songs. It's buttock-clenchingly awful.

There aren't many folk that can make me swear at the radio, but he's one of them.

Yes. We've done this thread before and the consensus is they are all insufferable pricks - from the ginger tt in the morning, all the way through until they start playing music for pensioners with alzeihemers in the evening

I quite like Chris Evans, he is at least amusing, Vine though, hmm, the Daily Mail made human, rabble rousing the offended pensioners of the country.

I though I didnt mind Steve Wright but today, it was utter bloody lowest common demoninator drivel.

The people who ring in are the worst, when they call themselves "Olivers dad" or tell you whatever they have been doing, all R2 callers sound like Alan Partridges joke callers.

I was nodding away agreeing 100%, then read 'buttock-clenchingly awful' and let out a snort thumbup.

He is a total spunktrumpet.

I saw the thread title and assumed he must have died. I can't stand his programme but I must admit a certain grudging respect that he's managed to sell the BBC exactly the same product for thirty years without anyone apparently noticing.

Anyway, it's enough of a reason to post my favourite pictures again.

I'd not seen any pics of him for a long time. Didn't realise he was such a chunky monkey these days. Are they recent pics? It doesn't look like a recent RR.

I agree, although Graham Norton is good on the radio too I think.

In general, I prefer the stand-ins to the so-called 'stars'.

Used to like Vine but it in the last year or so he's doing my tits in.

Switch off when I hear his voice now.
