I'd not seen any pics of him for a long time. Didn't realise he was such a chunky monkey these days. Are they recent pics? It doesn't look like a recent RR.
Those are old pics. Like his act.

Feltz - on too early for anyone to listen, thank god

Evans - I like him, not a popular consensus on PH but I do

Bruce - tolerable in small doses, jokes wear thin - couldn't listen every day

Vine - ugh, just....awful. Switch over as soon as I hear his irritating voice

Wright - becoming intolerable. Same st every day. Singing along to songs, faux laughter. Annoying

Mayo - quality, i like him, it's a good show

People after 7pm - does anyone really listen?

Agree with the OP, drives me insane him constantly saying 'serious jockin' every couple of seconds in between records on a Friday. He's an irritating twerp at the best of times - hi Steve, love the show - but going on and on and on and on and on and on about serious bloody jockin makes me think I'd rather someone did some serious bloody clubbin to his fat f***in face with a baseball bat.

I'd genuinely rather drive along in silence than listen to him on a Friday afternoon.

I think Wrighty has been on an intensive diet since those pictures were taken.

Re Serious Jockin' (No g btw)

What is the difference between the SJ slot on a Friday and his normal "Big show?"

He just seems to play records as normal....now't special.

Oh, and Jeremy Vine is a lefty tt.

I don't mind Ken Bruce though.

Popmaster is the only sensible thing on R2.

It's even better when Bruce is on holiday and Michael Ball is standing in for him.

As for 'enjoying the big show' Wrighty. It's been done on here before, and in this thread. How the bloke has still got a job is anyone's guess.

The fact that he refers to it as the Big show is bad enough but that god awful intro music that goes on and on is terrible too.

BBC radio went downhill when Mark+Lard / fat Harry White went off air. About the only decent thing on now is Gilles Peterson on 6.

I am a calm easygoing person but "serious jockin'" does something to me that I have to switch off for fear of losing control. Get rid (and yes, smug Jeremy Vine too!) There really is an enormous void between inane teenage Radio 1 and old fart's Radio 2 - where are us 30-somethings supposed to be catered for?

Oh and how old is his Radio 2 mugshot then?

Ken Bruce is ok, I still enjoy pop master, although I'm not great.

Alex Lester is also OK, so is Jo Whiley. I don't mind Chris Evams on a Friday, when he has the special guests in but his other days just all sound the same.

Certain chap who comes on before Ken Bruce holds that privilege!

If I tell you it's a hand-coloured Daguerrotype would that give you a clue?

Thankfully I rarely get to listen to R2 before 5pm. I think last time I was 'lucky' enough to catch 'The Big Show' Steve had some astrologer woman on. 5 minutes was more than I could take.

There's a reason for that. His brother writes all the musical links and pieces for his shows (and collects a fat wad in royalties off the back of it).

Serious troughing Wright enough!
