Buggies look good fun.

Glad Johnny Vegas stayed in - he's a gung-ho driver who seems to really enjoy this competition.

Same here, but knew that he'd have a hard time on the jump due to his weight.

I'm beginning to wonder how many of the celebrities want to be there, as opposed to their agents wanting them to be there. They don't look very enthusiastic on the whole. I reckon it's Mariella next for the drop - she seems permanently cheesed-off. Young Ella is the reverse - a major accident waiting to happen.

(Anybody else here seen Johnny Vegas doing that club act in Benidorm where he was p*ssed before he went on stage? Car-crash viewing of a man on the edge. It's the one where Sticky Vicky was in the audience.)

I liked the end when Johny phoned his son telling him he got through. Generally seemed really happy with himself.

Is is me or did The Prof. not cross the finish line in the obstacle course and still get the fastest time?

Also, the visors on the lids that don't stay up make me chuckle, and I predict they will now be wearing Hans devices/ neck braces for the next episodes after Ella went over.

I noticed that too - he stopped a whole car's length before the man with the flag.

I have watched MotoGP races where people have thought they have won a lap before the end of a race and then lost out, but actually stopping before the line!?!?! He can't expect to use his 'lack of manual gearbox experience' there.

I suspect.

Producer/Course Provider: "Stop when you see the chequered flag."
Prof Green: I can see the flag so I'm stopping.

I was right about Mariella Frostrup going home, but for the wrong reason. I must admit Angus Deayton surprised me with his speed in the Bowler - he hadn't looked anything special in the previous episodes.

Prof Green struck me as a bit childish with his wind-ups. Maybe nerves?

Angus Deayton is a very capable driver, very calm and precise, total contrast to Vegas who doesn't seem to have any fear, both entertaining to watch.

Has the final been rigged? Why would Jackson suddenly lose all his speed? Is it because the programme wants an interesting final with the fastest man having to overtake others? I'm suspicious.

Jackson's first spin had him beached, wheels deep in the mud, yet a few seconds later he was back in the race! Safety car being deployed after someone spun, yet there had already been other spins without the SC being needed.

Nearly as contrived as Bernie's smoke and mirrors show. Watch Nico gain a huge lead in the WDC and then have "mechanical troubles" so that Lewis can catch up. Cynical? Moi?
