Just watched the first episode, same as season 1, you kinda wonder who are brain dead, the walkers or the stupid survivors.

Fear the Floating Dead more like.

Have to say, I struggled to stay interested. The levels of annoying-ness and feckwittery displayed by a couple of the teens are off the scale.

On the plus side, they didn't wuss out and fade to black when that eel got brutally clubbed to death. It took it like a champ.

I fell asleep it was that good. Hope it improves as the first season was fairly enjoyable

I have to say, it was a struggle. The beach scene right at the start for instance, where the main guy didn't notice a walker approach him from behind despite spotting them 50 metres away walking at 1mph.

The floating mess of walkers and wrecked boat that the 5 people standing on the boat looking directly in that direction didn't spot - I know there was a bit of fog / smoke but it was literally a floating pile of crap in their line of sight.

Stroppy kid is still stroppy, black guy is annoying, main kid still wearing those old man beige trousers, main girl still sexy but useless.

They need to buck their ideas up. I think they need to be faced with a proper group of enemies, like those encountered in TWD. I know this is still early days in the outbreak compared to that, but this series so far feels like they're just surviving through pure chance and in spite of their plain stupidity at times, whereas TWD, although also annoying at times is more brutal and honest.

If this is to be more of the same, I'll generally just watch it with one eye while browsing the web or whatever, just to see more of that fictional world and developments above anything else.

Also RIP Mr. Eel, brutal death scene laugh

This is painful. The main source of pain comes from the main characters particularly the mother, she's annoying and oh so stupid-"we have to save people" NO YOU fkING DON'T!!! You keep away from everyone and float about on your nice comfy yacht and scavenge for supplies when you have to!!!

It really is a car crash piece of TV. But it has Zombies in it so I'll keep watching.....

We just started watching Z nation. Far better than TWD despite the rubbish acting and crap script.

An episode of Z nation has more going on than a whole series of TWD hehe

To be fair, it's still early on in the apocalypse (about 2 or 3 weeks since it all went to hell, I think) so most people aren't going to be in full on Mad-Max mode yet and her job was specifically to care about people and try to help them so she finds it difficult to adjust. Let's not forget that for a good part of the breakdown of society she was more or less in isolation in the 'safe zone' that the military set up along with everyone else, so she hasn't even had that much experience of how nasty the new world has become. Still annoying to watch though.

And if you look at the main show, even around 2 years into the Zombie Apocalypse, Rick and his gang are still making imbecilic decisions and dumb mistakes whenever the writers decide we need a dramatic situation.

What really annoys me is that literally none of them seem to have a plan - other than Strand who despite taking them on board his boat won't tell them anything. Where do they think they are going to go? Do they seriously imagine that they can just head out to sea and stumble upon some place that is miraculously unaffected by the zombie outbreak?

Seemed to me that they could have made a go of it on the island - and if all else failed, they had the boat to escape on.

What a pile of steaming pish I watch series one and felt like putting my boot through the TV.

This is even worse.

Gloss over what caused the virus, run around like a headless chicken, spend 30 minutes talking about your feelings, dictate what the group does yet you have the survival skills of a child.

The junkie. A and annoying seeing him battle his demons
The other kid, your maws dead, deal with it
The new Zealand dude, your fking hopeless please get bitten soon
The mum, who the fk put you in charge
The black guy seems to have his st together
Wax on wax off guy, likewise. I'd rather just watch it with those two.

As for the story in episode two about taking the guys children from utter safety to a sea of floating zombies, priates and nil food. Really. I mean come on. What the fk do you want. To reach out to civilisation when there is a deadly virus going about. You deserve to die.

I also loved how they glossed over the child turning. Like it was natural. That should have been a genuine Wtf moment

As for going to the boat....my God fk me yes let's go swimming amongst zombies then go into a sinking bullet ridden boat.

I think Rick and the original crew would from Walking Dead would have done better on the boat, Rick would have been a good captain wink

The mother and father are way too soft (and stupid) to hope to survive the Zombie apocalypse. And the actress who plays the mother is either awesome at playing stupid or more likely was just dropped on her head as a child.....

Erm yes FTWD is st very st. IMHO it's the characters they're just, well... st.
