Fear The Walking Dead back tonight!

I thought it was just awful.
It has the most engineered fright scenes ever.
Oh what's that, a zombie twenty feet away. Camera shakes the suddenly someone has tripped and they have a zombie on them.
The scene where they were reunited and at the same time fleeing from zombies was laughable. Two seconds before they were almost doomed. Now they suddenly have time to cuddle embrace each other for 20 seconds before dragging a boat off the beach into the water.

It was a bit better but still waaay too much stupidity and contrived plot lines. I can only assume that we haven't seen the last of the hot asian chick from the plane crash as they were building up the survivor of the flight (shown as webisodes) to become a regular cast member on the main show.
Now that Game of Thrones' is back and airing in the same time slot in the US, FtWD is going to lose a lot of 'live' viewers and advertisers don't pay as much for DVR viewers. You'd think that AMC would have more sense than to announce a spin-off of its most popular show and then slash the budget and put it on against what is quite probably THE single most popular show in the World right now.

The bit with the life raft was utter stupidity. The main boat is moored just offshore, so close in fact that they can easily make out suitcases and bags strewn around the shore through a pair of binoculars. What they don't spot is the big yellow life raft which at the beginning of the show was marooned way out at sea but had now it seems drifted in between the boat and the land and was picked up by the shore expedition as they returned to the boat. Then we get the usual discussion about not leaving them out there to die but surely they are only a few hundred yards offshore? Easy enough to take them up the coast away from the zoms' and drop them off? No instead we'll take them further out to sea and maroon them once more.
The hugging scene was stupid as well, seriously guys the zoms' are coming maybe an idea to get the big heavy rib back in the sea and do the happy reunion with someone you haven't seen for half an hour when you've put some distance between you and the zoms'.
Utter rubbish however in its favour it is beginning to verge on so bad it's good.

I see there is a S3 which I've not seen a thread about and that s2 was now free on Prime.
Seeing as I couldn't even be bothered to steal this when it came out I wasn't hopeful but it still failed to meet my low expectations. I realised how bad it was when about 20 minutes in I realised we were both looking at our phones more than the program.
Won't be bothering with any more.
Still, GoT is on in 10 days or so.
