In a word-dreadful. Not funny in the slightest.

I just watched my recording. Agreed - totally forgettable.

Ben Miller's partnership with Alexander Armstrong produced some interesting stuff, but since then he's just become another run-of-the-mill actor/comedian/whatever, accepting any dross script he's presented with. Such a waste.

Ben Miller has been rather good in a number of Series. "The Worst Week of My Life", Primeval and Death in Paradise being successes. He is trying to find a "dark Comedy" that works and this is another go at it. In Theory it's the same team that did TWWOML but it seems not as good.

I was really disappointed as I have a bit of a thing for Caroline Catz!

Me too, but I think I'd have run off with the secretary!

I watched the second episode and haven't changed my mind - it's not compulsive viewing although there are occasional quirky moments.

However, I'm starting to agree with you about Caroline Catz. She's very milfy.

Worse this week than last. The bit where he comes out of the cafe to intervene when his boss and his wife meet was awful. Never ever seen anyone do the thing where one says where he's been while the other says some different place and then they try to make them match.
Absolutely bloody terrible. I didn't think the BBC could still come up with this Terry and June style crap.

BTW I don't have a thing for Caroline Catz. I think she's completely without any sexual attraction whatsoever. Jan Francis in her younger days is a completely different matter

Only time I laughed in the entire epidose was when the MIL said "He's taking it rather well, considering," and in the background we could see the FIL kicking the st out of his bird table.

I wondered if it was me. I saw it advertised, looked decent....watched it and deleted it after 10 minutes. The first interaction was painful, but it just went downhill.

Yes, I think the last episode I watched will be the last one I watch, if you see what I mean.
