No, it isn't.

It's like someone asking for a list of Ferraris from max power to min and you suggesting a Hurrican.

rofl

It's more like someone asking for a list of made-up children's cars by power and then some else suggesting another made-up car (whilst conceding Watchmen is hardly for kids).

Cabbage man. He has all the powers of a cabbage.
Though don't honestly know if he is DC or Marvel.

This is the sort of question my 3 year old nephew asks me and even with him, I roll my eyes.

I would normally just scroll past a thread like this but I'm staggered enough to see it being discussed by adults to post!

The answer is "they are just cartoon characters."

Honestly. >shakes head<
Have you noticed how popular religion is? You can't shake your head at everyone who's ever indulged a little fantasy.

My son asked me this the other day, his take on it was that Captain America is in charge so that makes him the most powerful Avenger.

Actually they are fictional characters from comics and graphic novels, which happen to have been turned into TV & film animations, live action TV shows and films, computer games and many other mediums.

In fact, is it any different to talking about any other fictional characters or items? Bond, movie cars, etc etc.

Indeed. Much more grown up!

I think listing the Bond cars in order of 'bestness' or whatever is pretty fking sad too. But they are actually cars at least, so it's fair to say you prefer a DB5 over a Jag XKR. It's ridiculous to then argue "Nuh-uh, the XKR is better because it has rockets in the front grill..."

As lightly as I am taking this thread, there is still love there. There should still be respect for others interests too.
If we were judging who was the best Holmes, who the best Poirot, there would not be such insult, despite them being equally fictional..
Though I do not really know who is DC or Marvel.

hehe My tongue is in my cheek too. But that said, discussing the best Holmes is somehow different from ranking Sherlock Holmes characters. Like its a debate about the best portrayal of a fictional character which seems somehow more legit than debating which made up character is best!

Hmm. That's pretty conclusive. I must confess to not knowing who Galactus is, but I would say that all I need to do is add one letter to his name and he becomes 'Gaylactus', which is less threatening somehow. That's probably the best I have to counter his planet eating I think.

Transformers is Hasbro and Takara in origin. Although Marvel did do the comic series I admit. But I'm not sure they are really 'Marvel' characters.

If you want a living planet from the Marvelverse you want Ego...

Aye, and thein lies the rub!

I got fascinated by a Hulk/Juggernaut thread a while back, it was bizarrely addictive.
