marvels characters power most to least
Discussion
It's just good harmless fun. I grew up reading comics and watching superhero cartoons, films etc and just never grew out of them as I find the stories and characters more interesting than other works of fiction . I have a couple of friends who share a similar interest. We can discuss comics\characters for hours, we are all over 40.
Yes some people might think it's childish or weird but there are A LOT worse things going on in the world for people to be outraged about so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
For what it's worth in terms of who is the most powerful from the films, that would be Thanos (the purple guy pulling all the strings in the Marvel films), if they stay true to the comics of course. I really hope they do him proper justice in the films, if they do you ain't seen nothing yet.

You've missed out all the baddies except Loki and I'd probably place Scarlet Witch a little higher although admittedly we've not seen her full power set yet. Apart from that I pretty much agree with that. Most powerful?

I think most of them shouldn't be on any list of most powerful...

I think I realised that all the baddies are just blokes. Save for Loki and Thanos, and I've not seen what Thanos can do just yet. Oh I just realised that baddie from Guardians would probably be high.Mt fave comic baddie is Doc Doom. I think Fox and SOny own all of Marvel's best baddies that aren't Loki/Thanos.

Yep Ronan from Guardians would rank high, pre infinity stone I'd probably put him about evens with Loki and post infinity infusion probably above Vision.Mt fave comic baddie is Doc Doom. I think Fox and SOny own all of Marvel's best baddies that aren't Loki/Thanos.
Thanos if they stick true to source material would be number 1 without question. It would take the combined might of all the Avengers to even think about taking him on. If\when he gets all the infinity stones and the infinity Gauntlet, he becomes one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe period reaching cosmic level status and then the Avengers are basically an irrelevance.
Oh and speaking of Dr Doom, Galactus was another baddie woefully underused\unrepresented in the FF4 films as was the Silver Surfer. Both are woefully underpowered in that film. SS would be above Hulk no problem and for Galactus again that list would be an irrelevance.

Surely Wolverine is more powerful than Hawkeye? He's mainly tech reliant and doesn't have any super powers.

I think that list only contains the characters that have appeared in the MCU films. Colossus and Wolverine are X-Men, same universe in the comics but a different franchise in the film world.Surely Wolverine is more powerful than Hawkeye? He's mainly tech reliant and doesn't have any super powers.
finally my moment to shine.
the most powerful in the comics - is One above all. this though is a bit of a cheat as in marvel-lore its meant to be stan lee/jack kirby. omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.
http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/One-Above-All_(Multiv...
he's basically god in the marvel universe.
in terms of characters that have appeared on screen
phoenix/jean grey from x3 is high up the list (despite its stty representation in x3)
thanos - once he has the gauntlet will be charged up - in the comics it takes the whole marvel verse to unite against him inc galactus and he just chews them up and spits them dead. all for a woman too. swt if i ever saw that!
beyond that you got people like Odin, silver surfer, apocalypse, thor, mephisto, potentially ghost rider too if the person has wronged someone.
special mention however has to go to squirrel girl who despite having the powers to summon squirrels has defeated the likes of dr. doom, wolverine, modok and deadpool.
