Despite signing Fillion, Huertas and Deaver "Castle" has been cancelled.
Marvel's Agent Carter is a gonna and The rumoured Spin Off "Most Wanted" is not going to be made. Leaves the characters free to rejoin Agents of Shield.

Supergirl leaves CBS and joins the CW which also means a shift of production base to Canada joining Arrow The Flash and the renewed "Legends of Tomorrow". Wentworth Millar has a contract that allows him to float between shows rather than being a regular on Legends

Lucifer continues on FOX as does IZombie on FCW.

Shame about Castle but given that Stana Katic had already said no to any further seasons and that a couple of other regular cast members like Lanie were being written out, I guess that made it a simple decision for ABC to bring it to a close rather than trying to drag out for an extra season minus the original female lead / popular characters.

From the online blurb it sounds as though ABC had already agreed to film 2 endings for S8, as they were unsure what would happen. One which allowed for continuation to Season 9 and the other that would close the show out.

Stana Hadn't said no. It seemed that the show would continue without her. Not sure how that would work but she was not "in" the show that much this year.

I saw on FB that the latino guy had been signed...but Castle was 'meant' to have finished a few years ago. I think it is time to call it on that show, and I am a big Fillion fan.

CSI:Cyber now confirmed as cancelled. Sorry even the Original was limping and this was not a Good idea.

Sleepy Hollow renewed??? Seems so despite half the cast leaving.

Ah, you're right. It seems the online bit I read about her saying no relate to the decision to write her (and a couple of other characters) out in the season finale. Although it appears that was a decision more due to network contract budgets in the main. The fans were a bit annoyed at this and made that clear on social media, the network then appeared to try to see if they could get her to sign up in part to another season, but she mooted that, and then shortly after ABC decided to pull plug.

Possibly for the best though as some shows have tried to continue after dropping / changing lead characters and it's not worked. Although at least they appear to be doing the decent thing and ending it outright rather than leaving it on an unresolved cliff-hanger. Nothing worse than when that happens banghead

On CSI Cyber - that doesn't surprise me tbh. At times it was a good watch but after watching Season 1 on C5 I did wonder how it could survive a 2nd season of similar plotlines and you did get the impression that they were desperate to improve viewing for Season 2 when they announced Ted Danson coming back as DB in a role that didn't really work. It's fair to say that some of the plots were also a bit later season Miami-esque - i.e not totally believable hehe

I'm only up to the end of series 5 of Castle on terrestrial tv so still a few to go.

Not surprised about CSI Cyber. It didn't really 'work' like the other spin offs.

I thought it was total codswallop to be honest.
Castle seems to have gomne on too long I thought the Mentalist nailed it after 7 series and it made sense to end it
I see NCIS has been renewed for 2 more seasons Its the USA finale on Tuesday and its been a patchy series but the later episodes have really picked up

Season 14 will be without the Legend that is Tony DiNozzo. Michael Weatherley has said he is open to returning on a guest star basis to any of the NCIS "family" so do not expect an explosive ending.

Bugger, that's a shame frown That's one of the shows that managed to work the humour angle quite well. Series 2 still worked quite well I thought, even though they dropped Frankie, with Santiani as the new captain.

Not shocked that this, the endless trailers for it on E4 made me think it would be terrible.

Bones and Rizzoli and Isles are coming up to Final Seasons and "Limitless" remains in limbo. Current thinking is that it could end up on Netflix. Shame as it's head and shoulders above anything else CBS produce barring the Original "NCIS".

Muppets, limitless and carter were really good imho, shame they have been cancelled. At least limitless seemed to come to a conclusion.

That's awesome news, out of that whole list that's the only one I watch regularly (got bored with The Blacklist and The Flash when their last series ended), plus just how hot is Tea Leoni these days?

It was. I tried watching an episode and it was so bad I turned onto another channel. How on earth CBS thought a reboot of the original Jackie Chan / Chris Rock movies would work is beyond me. Not surprised that it's been canned at all.

On the subject of the X-Files, part of me is hoping that it doesn't get picked up again - as interesting as it was as a short event series, I'm really not sure how they'd convert it into a longer run of episodes.

I'm another one that will miss Limitless.

Glad to see the Blacklist and Blindspot continuing though, at the moment I've no idea how that's going to work with the Blacklist but I keep waiting for the twist!
