The issue with MLB is he has other more profitable roles, its a pay cut for him to stay. Time to see exactly how much of a petrolhead he is.

A great finish to the series and they got it bang on. Harris in the drivers car....and not a Porsche, Reid in the quirky 'Stang, Evans in the classic, of which he obviously has a passion for and MLB in the run of the mill Porsche, something Harris probably would have hated. The weakest link for me definitely Jordan and SS.

Agree though I am not sure the Porsche was that run of the mill.

In comparison to the GT3RS.

Yeah I guess so, MLB made a good point about cars like that being too good for the road and most drivers I thought.

I thought that was the best episode yet. Had a few laughs and even a decent SIARPC.
My thoughts too

Maybe interesting that during the long jump bit MLB, Harris and Reid were chatting in a group a little bit apart from the others when maybe they didn't know they were being filmed?

I've watched all the shows, but only the first one as it was scheduled. All rest from recording, meaning I could skip the siarc, and most of CE. Not entirely sure what Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmidt really bought to the show, but Matt has been a real find I think. Perhaps it's got the makings of a three presenter show again in the next series, with Matt headlining, Chris H doing supercar/exotic car tests, and Rory doing other tests. Really think the siarc should be one celebrity, and much much shorter.
Overall, I'm beginning to like the show again. Please, please BBC, just get rid of CE at least smile

Well, I enjoyed that. I thought Matt le Blanc's Porsche feature was the outstanding piece of the entire series. He may be an actor, but he delivered his lines perfectly and it was superb. Well written, informative, and funny too.

I gave Star in a Rally Car bit a go because I like Greg Davies but after 20-30 seconds I just had to fast forward, as Chris Evans was just too gratey and shouty. I think there is just something about the acoustics of the hangar studio that is fundamentally incompatible with his voice, as it was far less bad on his filmed piece about the resto-mods.

Overall, I felt like the series was just getting into its stride and now it is over, which is encouraging for the next series.

Exactly. And you got the impression that he wasn't just delivering his lines, but that he really believed it too. As do I.

Thanks, but no. It was instrumental, kind of a driving beat - the sort of thing that might be used during a chase. It was only on for a couple of seconds. I can't get the film 'Hanna' out of my head, but I don't think it was from that.

Edited to add: Argh!

I think it is from Hanna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBmwcuLa1as around the 1:10 mark. if you mean the part where they show the NSX under the lights at the beginning.

Very interesting, I'm surprised the BBC is 'standing by him' whether it is true or not considering their recent history!

Yeah I enjoyed the 911R piece, looking at cheaper alternatives in the classifieds already.... M3 CS?

Reported in the media a little while ago that he only took the TG job as he had nothing else on as Episodes had finished and had no immediate plans. Not so much a pay cut as it's the only pay packet he's receiving. Whether he'll stay for a second series if something else comes long remains to be seen.

Quite liked him.

Keep him, CH and Rory and dump the rest.

Argh! At the start of Chris Harris' NSX report, the part where they first got to the track, there was some music used. I think it was from a film. It's driving me nuts - anyone know what it was please?
